The passing game was a bit off. Boehme seemed to not have his usual zip and threw behind recievers on a number of occasions. The DBs for Menlo were also pretty good with tight coverage which allowed the pass rush to flush Boehme and forced a number of throw aways. I think that's why we saw none of the homerun type passes. The short quick passing game seemed to work quite well.
How much do you think the wind played into this?
Go Cats!

Huge thanks to Cawcdad for getting me to and from the game yesterday.  It was a giant help!  Thank you.

As for the game...good effort again by the 'Cats.  The defense was outstanding.  I'll agree that we've seen the 'Cats passing game sharper but I'm not too worried about it.  For a 3rd long road trip in a row...I'll take it.

Big week for the 'Cats...Whitworth will be ready this weekend at the Pine Bowl.  We have to have a big effort to keep this rolling.  Looking forward to making the trip.

I do not think the wind was much of a factor. I really didn't notice it until the second half. The Cats kept the ball on the ground then eating up the clock.

Cawcdad,
Thanks for the item about Nate Jackson and Mark Speckman being inducted into the Menlo HOF. Both are deserving of the honor.

Three down and one to go, guys! Everyone get healthy so you can take out Whitworth.
Then it's back to the Catdome!

While you're at it you might as well check out the ADvantage's post game interviews.

Nice pics cawcdad.

Good win for the Cats. Sounds like it was
real team effort. Some young players stepped
up and played well. Way to go

Kelly Bird did a nice job with Dave I thought.

1 more week,  boy do I need a Home game fix!!

One game at a time
LEAVE NO DOUBT!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

This is a grinder for the lads and a real pain to endure for the rest of us as well.
My particular thanks to 11 for his post game interviews at Menlo.  That is a nice treat for us to see our guys talk about the game.  "They look good".  No, I mean it...they really look like they are on thier game and members of a real team.
This really feels good!  Those (seemingly) endless 6-3s are a memory.

What happened to all of the Whitworth fans who used to post on here?  I'd really like to hear their perspective on last Saturday's game.

Yes Rat fans...please come on the board and break down the butt kicking that Willamette put on Whitworth.  I know you all are itching to post about it.   ;)

GHC,

Anderson played this past Saturday so I would expect the 'Cats to get a full and heavy dose of him this weekend.

Thanks for your email and the info I asked about. Nice job on the pictures. I remember buying some photos from that site when my son played at Linfield. I just didn't put two and two together.  :D It's a great service and an outstanding way to get game pics to parents and relatives.

GO CATS!
54 IN '09!
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

All I can say is that the Rats should just phone this one in rather than take a butt kicking at the Pine-tar bowl.  Saves on both fuel for the Cats and bruised egos for long hair Rats.

Way to go  DC1  you got me started on rat week 8)
