I agree 3rd win on a long stretch of road games is all that matters... but from the field point of view there was a lot going on in the first half game plan wise which caused the 'Cats to be out of synch but was great experience to get under the belt... not going to share it here but there was a lot of good stuff going on even though it looked a bit out of synch

The wind was a factor in the second half.. when throwing with the wind balls sailed and you could see on that one bubble screen the ball drift to the LOS for an incomplete... not making excuses because we all know that winning games like this where they have to think on the field and adjust will only make us better down the road....

on to Spo-compton and the 'rats....

Gonna be nice for the Cats to come to Homecoming with the Streak alive.

Ok, OC Cat now you have done it with the skewer the rat deal.  I'm really going to have problems with Tux Guys meat on a stick that we eat at the tailgate BBQ.

The only answer is to kill all of the (rat) germs with the contents of ole blue along with a couple of cookies from Mrs Coco.

That otta do it

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!

Just got back to Alohaland after a great weekend in SF. I "witnessed" another road kill for the Cats. Although, I was a few minutes late and missed the first TD and #93's sack :(

Great to meet "cawcdad," and to put a face on the name, you were busy shooting so we couldn't talk much, hopefully we'll meet again. Just saw the pics... and as usual, "the best." You provide an invaluable service, keep up the outstanding work.

It was also a pleasure to meet "desertcat," and spend a little time talking on the sidelines. He even got "lei'd" the lucky fella!

Aloha,
Island Cat

PS: I got on the field with other parents after the game to present gifts and lei's to the island boys (typical), and we couldn't believe the condition of the field! I kept tripping over cracks, bumps and holes. I was wondering why the grass hadn't been cut, and I know why! They were trying to hide the terrible condition. This has got to be the worst. It's a blessing our boys weren't injured.

Thank you for the kind words IslandCat. Enjoyed our brief chat. Turns out my favorite image from the game happened to have #93 in it. ;D

Game pics have been posted.

Thanks cawcdad for the great pics. Man you are a picture taking one man whirling dervish. +K for you.

I'm from the South Bay and tried to get my old friend Dick Treakle from Los Altos to go to the game who has some appreciation for Linfield but he'd made prior arrangements to go to his weekend lair in Pacific Grove so couldn't make it. Some folks do have life by the proverbial tail.

Island Cat,

Sorry I didn't get to meet you but I have to say that I thought the Menlo's sod was in better shape than SOU's!  The 'Cats do get to play on a fine sod field up at Whitworth.  The Rats take great pride in their grass!  :)

At least you folks don't have to play on the Puget Sound prairies this season. :o
