I heard that Bubba Lemon was tweeting during the pio game. He is like ocho-cinco.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Just wondering if Willamette has a player dress code.
The white suit might still come in handy.

GO WILDCATS!
One Game At A Time
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I'm wondering if our friend DOC will be attending the Linfield vs Willamette Game? I'm sure we'd all enjoy seeing him up at the Elks Club with his buddy Jack on Friday night! Wha do ya say....Dens?

I think it was the fact that he wrote a book that drew them in.

I'm not sure it was a book..... but it's a movie called "The Smashed Fly"

Any discussion about Whitman bringing back football?

(Sorry stupid newby can't figure out how to quote an earlier post)

Here is a series of stories from the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin detailing the demise of Whitman Football.

greggg@bmi.net ...

Those were really good. Thanks.

Let's hope the flag keeps flying and we'll see who salutes it.

I'd like to see Whitman get their football program back. They'ed probably come up with some REALLY INTERESTING PLAYS. Even weirder than THE FLY!

As a reminder, there is going to be the annual Linfield Alumni vs JV game this Saturday night at 7:30 PM at the Catdome.  So you get a double header of action with the Linfield/L&C game at 1:30 and the Alumni/JV game at 7:30.

Just posted up the alumni team tentative roster for this Saturday night: http://catdomealumni.blogspot.com/

See you all there.

The big question is, where can I get the live feed...? yuk, yuk. I never get any feeds here man, that sucks. Sounds like it'll be a good-fun game, although the roster seems a little stacked!

Idea: Not taking anyone too lightly but, hypothetically speaking—after the Cats are 4-5 possessions ahead of L&C at the half...(it can happen)!—Do you think Coach should R&R the "Road Warriors," and let the 2-3's have a go at it? or just keep-on-keepin'-on?

I just thought it would be nice to let the "youngbloods" get some too.
(But keep #93 in, he's only a soph, lol!)

Thanks for the roster, WC11. It reads like "Who's Who in Linfield Football?" for the past several years, and I pity the JV team. The alums may be a few years older, but you got some horses there.

Pineconefan, it's good to see you back on the board.

Agreed.

Island Cat...there is no telling what might get run up or out with the L&C. Willamette supposedly did what they could and still monkeystomped them.
When LINFIELD scored almost at will against many teams in 2004 the score was 7-62 after downshifting. Then L&C took a time out to restructure 2005. It was 0-40 when play resumed 2006.
A Homecoming game in McMinnville against L&C with the JV playing Alumni that evening (2004-05 guys stacked) should not be competitive for viewing pleasure.

BTW, why do you suppose you cannot pick up internet TV feeds in Hawaii? You can post here easily. Computer speed? I've been to libraries to watch games before  :)

You're not going to give TDT credit for his scoop?

Touchdown Tommy

Dens: Credit?  Credit for what?

Hey 11: When are you going to start passing around the collection plate for OAS to make his annual appearance in McMinnville to slobber all over the 'Cats?  Better hit up GHC and his cronies for a hundo each....

Probably in the next couple of weeks.  Actually, Del Smith from Evergreen Aviation is going to have his G4 head out to MSP to scoop Adam up for the weekend where we'll have a box of free Linfield swag waiting for AJ when he lands.  From there, we have a "Welcome oAs" party lined up at Hotel Oregon in downtown Mac.  Then, I'll take AJ to see former New York Yankee World Series MVP and current 'Cats head baseball coach, Scott Brosius, where Scott will present AJ with his 1998 World Series ring as a token for all the great pub AJ has provided the 'Cats.

Just another typical weekend for when Adam makes it out to the 'Catdome
