Just posted up our weekly link dump up on the ADvantage.  There are some good reads with regards to Pacific from their student newspaper as their head coach talks about his recruiting efforts,  Pacific is in a tussle with City of Forest Grove with regards to Lincoln Park and the scheduling of football practices and games for next season.  I'm thankful we don't have to deal with that.

Don't forget to keep voting for Joe.  He is at number 16 right now and only 6 votes out of the top 15.  You can vote once per day.

Why does this week "feel" like a bye week? :-\

Doesn't "feel" like a bye weekend to the boys... they are locked and loaded....

Oxy has ugly uniforms?  Clean, simple = ugly?  I don't think so.  You guys can come up with a better poll than that can't you?

Got back from Spokane safely. Staying at home this weekend. Good luck to all and lets have some fun. See you all next weekend in Salem.

Not always, but Oxy's outfits do need something..... maybe like some highlight colors or how about glow in the dark helmets?

That is a completely ridiculous, unfair survey. I already voted for Oxy, but then someone amended the poll and added me as a choice, and now I can't vote for myself even though I look great in black. Fraud at polls!

Happy Game Day to all. I'm sure the Cats are ready to rock(both young and old). Good luck to all the Alumni that are going to play today. Go JV, put some sticks on those Old Men. Don't cut them any slack.

My Football for today will be Butte Jr. College playing San Francisco City College. Ranked number 4&3 in the nation. Should be a very good game.

My take on the Bearcat-Lute game.  It's never dull in D3 football.

First, the Lutes.  Don't ever expect them to come unready to play.  I think they are close to getting over the hump.

Bearcats.  Don't ever expect them to fold just because they're behind.  The first half wasn't pretty and they were giving PLU lots of opportunities because they weren't putting pressure on the quarterback.  That changed in the second half.  When he had to hurry he wasn't nearly as accurate.  I'll be interested to see the first half/second half passing stats for PLU.

Willamette still has some growing to do.  Speckman said they're a work in progress.  Today they rose to the challenge and it was good to see because this was a really competitive game.  They don't panic, there's always a way to win if you are patient and follow the game plan.  It was good to see Ramey come in and run the offence.  The Bearcats have two quarterbacks who are going to be huge in the coming years, and they're doing really well now.

In an interview this week, Speckman was asked about the game (99?  00? 01?) in which PLU scored three touchdowns in the 4th quarter and won 28-24.  He said that still stings.  Today's game might help make up for that with 4 scores in the 2nd half, 3 in the 4th quarter.

This isn't to take anything away from PLU.  They always come to compete.  Props to them.  Props to the Bearcats.

Good post FB, those are the games we used to win.  Congrats and good luck the rest of the year.

Great come-from-behind win today by the Bearcats, and it was good to see that they can do that after some very one-sided wins the last season-and-a-half.  Just what they needed, I think; going into the Linfield game!

PLU traveled very well to Salem and the Lute fans were really into the game. Again, a good warm-up for next week.
