But that Neverland scenario will not be in play so I volunteer to be the scout team Bscat poster this week.

Let me begin with We scored more on Lewis and Clark than you did!

QuoteYeah--but Lewis and Clark scored more off of you

Bscat: Well, yes, but that's because we made a mistake.
At least we beat you by a point in 2007 kicked your Cass last year.

In the friendly spirit of competition, I volunteer to be the scout team Wuzcat poster this week.

Bscat:  We scored more on Lewis and Clark than you did---

Wuzcat:  Well, yes, but thats cause we beleeve in the spiret of takin a nee.
You guys don't like to do that like in 2008 when you beat us by 52-28.  Dan Hawkins your old coach said " ... Gandhi didn't take a knee, Martin Luther King didn't take a knee, Thomas Edison didn't take a knee, and I sure as hell am not going to take a knee."  The hawk must be still talkin to Speckman.  (PS I wrote this all myslef withoug hep from Wildcat 11)   ;)

River,

I can still remember the look on Speckman's face went Linfield made it 49-0 early in the 3rd quarter in '05.  Still wish that Locey would have kept the gas peddle down for the rest of that game instead of settling for 63-21.  I don't know if you remember that because that's when you were nowhere to be found on this board...glad that you came back last year.  This is more fun.  ;)

FightBearcats

Ah, I see silly season is here.

Regarding Chuck Pinkerton:
Quote from the Pinkerton story http://www.willamette.edu/athletics/news/article/2009/10/hall_of_fame_focus_3.xml
"He broke his leg in the NAIA Division II semifinals in a 17-7 win over Sioux Falls (S.D.). He was unable to play in the NAIA Championship game, which Willamette lost to Findlay University (Ohio), 14-7."

It isn't well remembered, but in the game where he broke his leg, he returned to the game and ran one more play.  I can only imagine the pain.  He's well deserving of the honor of induction into the WU Hall of Fame.

WC11, you're only saying what every diehard Bearcat has believed, and that's that we would have won the championship game going away if he had been able to play.  Yeah, that's what we say and we're sticking with it!  :)

Gig Harbor Cat

This game could go several different ways--so I will go out on a limb here

CATS KICK THE BEARKITTIES ARSE ALL OVER THE FRICKIN FIELD ALL DAY LONG AND LIKE IT

Sounded to me like the Lutes lost to Willamette because of turnovers...The Wildcats have been taking care of business in that department...if they continue to do so then we win by two or more scores. ;D
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

D O.C.

Thanks to Muddy Water for taking over my position and envoking a response from desertcat1 immediately.

BCP, not that you don't have a full plate but how many tackles did Andrew Ross have in the 1st half out of his 19?  I'm just wondering if that it turned around second half like the game did.

Way to bring up turnovers criswyly  :)  since we all remember that was what kept the WILDCATS from Pool A a couple of  years. This week would not be the time to have any deju vu with unforced errors. If the Bscats can disrupt what we've been doing well this year then...
I find it more likely they will be thinking
Where'd they come up with this quarterback?
Where'd they come up with this offensive line ?
Where'd they come up with this defensive line?
Which guy in which route am I supposed to cover?
Where're we going after the game?

wildcat11

+K to all the Linfield posters for having the stones to put it on the line before the game in making your picks/talking your smack.

desertcat1

good morning boys ,

Steve Thomas (RIP) is right, let's not make too much of this, after all, SID K. Bird always puts it into perspective

Quotesince 1949 Linfield has won or tied 45 of 64 games...

One more win....what's that? four thousandths of a percentage point?

Nice write-up 11.

Anybody have any idea if Horne will be playing for Willamette this week?  I saw he had an injury in the first half last week and didn't come back in...
Go Cats!

RedandPurple

How many times will we here: "ANOTHER BEARCAT FIRSTDOWN!" :D
Let's go BIG D! Hold them to 4th and long!
For GHC it should read 4th and "longies". ;)

GO CATS!
55 IN '10!
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!
