Glad to see the WU staff supporting Linfield by wearing their color. ;)
That was my thought too when I read that :)
Go Cats!

Just for the record I did my share of belly-aching when AB could not play last year. That was the target year for this long one in a line of great LINFIELD quarterbacks. I WILL blame last season on that injury. WU was a good team last year but...
                    NO INJURIES!                DEFENSE!

The 'Cats are focused!!!

Phone it in!!!

GO CATS!!!

If the Cats play mistake free football and the coaches allow the QB to keep the ball on some of those option plays so he can turn the corner and use that speed of his, turn out the lights!

I have seen all but one game and there has been at least 6-8 times in each game that if the QB had kept the ball after the dive fake, no one, I mean no one was there to prevent at least a 15-20 yrd pick up.  Lets hope the Cats unleash the full potential of the offense this game like they did against the Texas team in the first game of the year.  QB keepers, screens, draws, pass to the big tight end, deep ball, bubble screens and a few trick plays!  Should be a great game.

Our Qb would probably run six out of ten times if it were up to him. Keep spreading it out and let him run all he wants in the Stagg.

OFFENSE!

Kick-off in just over 5 hours!  Getting my computer tuned up so that I don't (hopefully) have any dropped coverage of the games today.  I suggest everybody reboot your modems, routers, and computers before game time to avoid potential problems!  Go CATS!!!!!  60 minutes--no mistakes---no big plays for the Bearcats today!
Go Cats!

Big game for the Cats today. Should be a good game, but from the outside looking in, Linfield should have this one if they play like they've been. Willamette's one loss in week 1 against Concordia (MN) could just be a fluke, but the Cobbers are a pretty average bordering on poor team in the MIAC. Not going to be a cakewalk for Linfield, but they should be able to handle the bearcats without too much trouble if they can avoid giving up big plays.

GO WILDCATS!

Pound the Bearcats!

See some of you guys pretty soon.

I want to wish WU good health the rest of the season.
You really deserved to win that game today.
The refs took it away from you.
The clock was not kept correctly.
That ball really wasn't out of bounds.
The hot dogs were not really cooked.

Ha ha ha....

Really was a good game:  Stats of interest:  Cats allowed 0 sacks again!  Cats had 0 turnovers!  The only negatives were Cats had 6 penalites for 60 yds which resulted in 4 Willamette first downs AND Cats allowed Willamette to go 3 of 4 on 4th down conversions---(but only 2 of 13 on 3rd down conversions)  Great game--teams were even matched as far as yds gained and all that---but the Bearcats had 2 turnovers....  Course, the Cats had several dropped or overthrown passes that could have changed things in a big way---need to work on that.
Go Cats!

I say congratulations to the Wildcats.  The game was competitive and was in doubt until about the last two minutes or so.  So congrats also to the Bearcats.  I'm sure the team is bummed but, although they trailed the whole game, they put themselves in position to win.  Linfield bent a few times but didn't break and were always able to hang onto what they had.

I'm not into "what if this happened, or what if that didn't happen."  Lots of things happen both ways in a game and that's what makes football, especially a game like this one, so fun to watch.

I don't know what will happen regarding post season but with two losses it doesn't look promising.  We should be able to win out the rest of the games so there's always a chance.  If it doesn't work out, I'm pretty bullish on next season.  WU will reload and come back stronger.  But that's a discussion for after the season.

Great game for the LINFIELD WILDCATS! Kudos for the O-Hogs. Their brilliant play obviously had a significant bearing on the outcome of the game. Nevertheless, it was an outstanding team effort. Although the offense wasn't always hitting on all cylinders and the defense gave up too many big plays, when the going got tough, Linfield displayed maturity and resiliency to prevail when challenged.

CATS SHINE IN 09!

Wildcats played well against a Willamette team that may have been underestimated. With Wheaton losing and St. John's barely winning, we stand to move up in the D3 poll next week. Linfield is likely headed for an unbeated season, Joe Smith's first, and a NWC championship.

Big question will be the seeding for the playoffs. Cats could well get a No. 1 seed. The game probably helped Willamette's chances though they are definitely a bubble team. Linfield has UPS, a bye and PLU.

Great win for the Cats on a perfect day before a huge crowd in Salem. There's no team, including PLU, I'd rather beat because WU fans are so rude and arrogant. It was fantastic to see them go down before such a big home crowd though there may have been more LInfield fans there.

Congrats to the Wildcats on their win and to the Bearcats for their great effort.

Wait till next year.
