Did I read that correctly, Linfield ranked above Whitewater?

Linfield, Central, SJU...in that order...then UWW....really?? Call me surprised.

Is this is a pure mathematical ranking because I think we all know where UWW deserves to be at this point.  However, if we assume that they move UWW to the North then I like where we stack up for a possible home game(s).

However, that all goes to crap if we drop the ball the next two games.  Play Linfield football and let this stuff work itself out later...

Like D-Train mentioned before...dropping that WOU game for the road game at Oxy is paying off huge right now.

apparently Strength of Schedule is all that matters (assuming you have not lost a game yet)

Ha!  A little too mathematical/objective/this year's results only.  NCAA guys: it's okay to consider that UWW has played in the past four Stagg Bowls!

Anyway - yes - I think the Oxy game was huge for Linfield.  In addition to mathematical SOS, I'm guessing the wins over other regionally ranked opponents is what put Lin/SJU/Central at the top.  UWW should get one this week (vs. UWSP).  And I believe those still count even if the loss drops UWSP off the list (or Cal Lu knocks Oxy off the list).  Doesn't look too good for Redlands or Willamette.

Hey d-train, luaville cat-

Yessir, I was pumped about the Vandals, until Nevada scored on every possession save two last weekend and put up 70. It's still a lot better than it's been - we are making progress.

I don't know why PLU has not attracted Boise-area kids the past few years, especially considering the history of the program and the fact that they still do a get-together every year in town. D. Pierce, Walker, and Benedick all showed last year in their letter jackets - pretty impressive.

I watched the UPS-UWW game this fall. 14-7 at the half, but the Warhawks put it into overdrive in the 3rd quarter. Way too much speed and size for the Loggers. Of course, the next two Saturdays feature...

We all have been critical of our scheduling in the past. Might I extend a big THANK YOU to the AD for getting WOU off our schedule.

Now the task is simple Cats...take care of business are we're hosting at least 3 games.

If Southern Oregon is successful in moving to D2, Would Linfield consider replacing the Raiders on future schedules with NAIA Eastern Oregon? Do schools like Mount Union, Wisconsin Whitewater, and St. Johns ever play D2 teams?

I can't go into the details as I'll wait for Wildcat11 to make these type of announcements on this board....but I have heard that Linfield has a nice DIII schedule in store for next season. The schedule has been announced in an unofficial manner at this point from what I have been told and I can't go into details.   :-X

Hey idalogger,

Well said about the benefits of northwest small college athletics. Idaho is a mecca for quality D3 footballers and it's my belief NWC schools should "recruit" the Gem State harder and more often.

It would be awesome to have "College of Idaho" back in the football fold. Of course that's a likely as seeing Whitman traveling to Mac for another Homecoming trouncing. While we're at it, let's promote the return of football at OTI!

For all of you Linfield posters who are smacking your lips for playoff action, we must remember the early 70s. The CATS were rolling along towards an another undefeated season and had only lowly Whitman to play before the playoffs. No playoffs.

I remember the 6-0 loss a bunch of bearcat Fr. starters on a bad team hung on the 'cats not that long ago...and it was at the catdome. I also remember a very poor Pacific team beating a good cat team in Forest Grove.
