Idalogger,

I think Oxy and UPS begin a two year home/away agreement next year.  Welcome to D3, left coast style.

It is storming big time here.  The UPS field will be a mud bog before the end of the 1st quarter.  Big time wind, rain blowing sideways and it is chilly boys.  I have been to a couple of these in the past where the Cats had to struggle in the ankle deep mud to get going.

Could be an interesting game

The crack up is that UPS has a new turf practice field right next to their stadium !!

GHC,

Storming big time here to.
Left the house for my shop during a nice part of the morning on my 150 scooter.
Not sure that was such a good Idea now.  :o

So the other cats get to play in the mud. And will UPS use the run? The short pass? Both?

As a fan, I miss the mud games every once in awhile. Picking mud out of your face mask, errrrrrr. Don't miss the games like............. I wont say it,

Enjoy your day off Wildcats, you deserve it!!

Will somebody raise the level on my C-PAP machine, please?

                                       zzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

Linfield coaches have probably turned off their C-PAP machines staying awake at night trying to anticipate what the Lutes will be throwing (running?) against them next week.   :)

Does D3.com not realize that Linfield has qualified for the playoffs??  Brutal.............

Naw River, last week the coaches mapped out PLU. This week they're preparing CLU (same game film) Central ,St, J,  and traveling roster.
Will you be able to attend any playIoff games like the good old days?

Beings I no longer live in the PNW it sounded as if it was a real atypical environment in Tacoma for the WU-UPS game. Obviously, UPS did not play up to the level of competition this week. Although I didn't listen, I commend the Bearcats for taking control of the game and leaving no doubt.

Lute Week - regardless of their record in 09, PLU has always been an entertaining opponent.

Willamette and PLU - what a pair of rivals. If you don't abuse them, you lose to them! Leave no doubt CATS!

Crazy, crazy day up in Tacoma.  Sunny and dry for the first three quarters, then it was like a black wall of clouds.  I think it was after we had thunder that literally shook the stadium that they decided to send us inside the Fieldhouse.  By the end of the game, the field was a disaster area.  I haven't seen that much mud since a high school game I went to in Estacada. :o  It absolutely boggles my mind that UPS has a turf practice field with lights, but a grass stadium with no lights.  Weird.

As for the game, Willamette dominated from start to finish.  Players, coaches, everyone looked focused and ready.  Coming off a tough loss, you can't really ask for much better than that.  Now it's time to stomp the Oaks and finish strong.

Also, it was a pleasure to meet and chat with idalogger for most of the third quarter.  We've got a really nice community here on D3boards of which I'm proud to be a part.

Press...

I was listening to the game here in Salem, and it sounded like the weather was pretty brutal, but Spivey and Alegre seemed to think that the lightning wasn't close enough to delay the game. Gotta agree on the playing/practicing surfaces issue at UPS. Bizarre!

Great game for Schoettgen.

Any word on Hirschberger's status?
