If you listen to the interview with the ncaa official, available via podcast, the official makes it clear that SOS is not one of the more major factors in choosing teams, nor is how many games you play. The official makes it seem as if a 8-1 team will make it over a 7-2 team every time, if pool c is at stake, regardless of who the wins and losses are against.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

2004 LINFIELD just won and won big (Mount does it constantly) and had DII and NAIA in their 9 games so I am more confused by policy. Still, that false 10-0 on the bracket feels better than 9-0. Some are never satisfied.

would have been helped by better seasons by HSU and Oxy;
Oxy only lost to league champions.  A win over Linfield would certainly have helped. ::)

Sorry, that wasn't a knock on Oxy.  They had a great year at 7-2 so 'better season' was probably a poor choice of words.  But simply put, Linfield's SOS is stronger if Oxy beats Cal Lu.  I agree that Linfield did not want Oxy to go 9-0.  The Tacoma schools could have helped by winning at least one non-conference game...

I hear that DC1 is going to let the Twins dance on the sidelines to distract the Cal Lu boys !!

In the Endzone ... B-Stew would love nothing better than to jump over 1000 yards on the season by diving into the endzone and looking up at the Cats bending over catching their breath ...

Looks Like I will make it up to the game since there is no live feed. I can't do radio, I'm too young for that  :D

I will be driving from Portland Saturday morning, is their any traffic in Oregon or do they usually have the tractors off the road by the time the sun is up?! When is a good time to start tailgaiting from the trunk of the Ford Taurus Rental with a 12pm start? Look forward to chopping it up with some Linfielders, as I beleive will be heading down South next year to try and avenge their post season loss in a regular season re-match.

Best of luck fellas, looking at the like opponents it should be a great game - at what I hear is a great venue.

GO LU!

Nope, barring a tractor pile up it should be easy, but for some reason, the drive back to PDX from the Catdome for SCIAC teams always seems much longer than the drive in.

Chowder at Mo's is always one of our stops at Cannon Beach Area.

DC1  See you at the roundup

GHC

GHC,

Suggest you try Clam Chowder at Dooger's in Cannon Beach.    Best I have ever had.    And it is a Happy Hour special from 4-6 upstairs in the bar.

Don't forget the Pelican Pub & Brewery in Pacific City.
Now back to the game:
Too bad it's not going to be streamed. The audio will have to do.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Have we found out anything about the seeding yet? This info should have been released with the bracket.....How does anyone know for sure that Linfield is the #2 seed? and what difference would it make if they are doing something different this year like a bidding war? Does that mean that if the Johnnies were outbid they'd be on the road if they got to the second game?

Kings,
Better get an early start as we start tailgating the night before.  Just leave PDX go south on I 5 Turn Right at the Jiggles strip club and head south to the Catdome.
You should have no problem.
If you like me had a G5, you could forget the strip club and traffic and land at Coco's private air strip just south of the Catdome.

Let the purple frisbees fly boys  let em fly

Hey KM 4.  the only thing the cats will be catching is purple frizzzzzbeeeees  all day long..   The air is clean & clear at the catdome..  Not like LA... so your boys better adjust fast or it's all over by the half..  you put 47 on PLU in a game, the cats put 41 on plu in the first half so be ready ..  Just ask OXY how they tried  to stop the pass one year they played up and we go deep fast .. another 6 on the sciac... makes for a long ride home...  :-*
