I have a stupid question for you. What is the origin on your CATDOME tag at the bottom? I just assumed ya'll had a domed stadium but have discovered you don't. Just curious in case UMHB wins and we have to travel to Linfield.

Not a stupid question.  "Catdome" has been around for a long time and I really don't know when or who started it.  It means different things to different people/players.

When I first heard the term "Catdome" as a player in 1994 I thought it referred to the fact that teams that do play indoors (domes) have an advantage of playing inside all the time and that Linfield's Maxwell Field was viewed as an advantage because Linfield was traditionally a strong team in the late season mud and wet weather.  The mud and rain was just as much as an edge for Linfield as playing inside is for indoor teams.

However, as I was around the program longer I found that "Catdome" is said by folks to express a state of mind.  Linfield players, coaches, and fans truly believe in how the program approaches and plays the game and the unique bond Linfield people young and old have to the program.  The history and success of the program is the proof that "our" way works for us and the term "Catdome" is just a short hand way of saying all of that with one word.
Cool. Personally I would prefer to host Cal Lu than come there next weekend ;)

It will be an interesting match-up between an explosive passing offense by Linfield and a stingy-tough-fast Defense from CLU.

K4,

Don't overlook the Linfield running game...it's pretty damn good.  Linfield has a balanced offense.

WC - Never overlooking, especially this time of year. A one sided offense wouldn't rank in the top 5. Just commenting on what seems to be the highlight of the Linfield O: The purple frisbeez, Rocketmen, Jiggly O-line (Or was that the name of the strip club?!?!), etc.  :D

I cannot find the stat on the CLU website for Toilolo completetions while on his back. Any help K4?

You stumped me? I didn't even know that was possible due to the college "down by contact with the ground" rule. Maybe I'm thinking back to my two hand touch days... But, If Toilolo can make two defenders knock each other unconcoius, I'm sure he could pull that off as well.  ;D

Nice letter from Cat Mom.  For us and our ride, you know you are a road dog when for several years after your son graduates you get a Christmas card from The Safari Motel in McMinnville.

I'm assuming you hang it on the wall next to your autographed Christmas Card from Jiggles, yes?

GHC: Expect to get a card from America's Best Value Inn & Suites (formerly known as Safari Motel), from now on. It's actually the "best value" in town. A little dated (don't know if it's been upgraded since last year), but very roomy, convenient and affordable.

No Jiggles here, Mrs GHC gets fired up enough whe I tell her that we need to exit at Jiggles to see the kids.  I think its funny--she doesn't get my humor.
Now that my former player son and Mrs Wildcat11 are out of school and are successful young people, we get to stay at the "Parents" suite at the Casa De Wildcat11--  Nothing but the best for mom and dad.

Peace Out

Proud Papa Joe

Saturday can not come quick enough. Mr. & Mrs. PPJ will be heading up the road Thursday am. With Grochygramps and Sweet grammy. lol Taking the Motorhome, Hope see makes it. Will be in Mcminnville on Friday afternoon. Staying at the RV site across from the evergreen. Almost didn't get a space because our MH is older then 10 years. And they also ask us if it had any dents. Do you believe such a thing. They don't know us do they.ha ha

So K4 watch out for that Wildcat running game. They are back at full strength, I predict we will eat up so many yards on the ground that they will have to relay the turf when there done. And you have to watch out for Captian Rocketman. The purple frisbees will be flying. It's going to be a great game. See you all Satuday AM. Don't forget game starts at noon. So that means Tailgate starts around 0900hrs.

Go Wildcats

I don't want to call it a prediction - but more of what is likely when the scorebaord says "00:00"

CLU 27 - Linfield 21

It will be an interesting match-up between an explosive passing offense by Linfield and a stingy-tough-fast Defense from CLU.

Look for Toilolo to control the tempo of the game by spreading the ball around, and Stewart  STUART to eat away chunks on the ground.

Is it Saturday yet?

GO LU

Fixed....he is your star running back ;)
