GO CATS!!
Not that easy to do OregonCityCat99. The following is from the NCAA webpage:

Quick Reference Guide to Broadcast Rights
2009-10 NCAA Broadcast Manual
To apply for Internet "Video" streaming rights, please submit a written document to the NCAA for approval. Instructions and a sample letter can be found by clicking here.

If you are a member institution and contract your Official Athletic Site services through the CBS College Sports Network, you may contact your CBS College representative to inquire about video streaming in lieu of requesting the rights through the NCAA.  The NCAA will automatically approve all video streaming requests through CBS College Sports Network Web sites based on an agreement with CBS College Sports and NCAA.com to stream those games through the NCAA.com video player.

To apply for Internet " Radio" streaming rights, please submit the online form found at the following Web address: http://web1.ncaa.org/radioRights/policy.html. Questions may be directed to IMG College (Mike Dodson, mike.dodson@imgworld.com, 859/226-4390).  For more information, click here.

To apply for " Television" broadcast rights.  If CBS and/or ESPN do not activate their rights to any round in NCAA championship competition, the NCAA has the right to sell these rights for local syndication.  A rights fee will be charged for these events. Local campus and/or non-commercial television stations may have the rights fee waived. Any station selling commercials, selling or airing billboards, sponsors, in-game graphic sponsors, underwriters or phone pledges must pay the NCAA a minimum of $1,000 (One Thousand Dollars) per game for rights fees. Rights fees may vary from championship to championship.  For more information, click here.

Note: CBS maintained its right to sell local rights to its 66 championships. Contact Katie Kiefner (khkiefner@cbs.com or 212/975-7759) at CBS to obtain the rights of one of these championships. The rights not owned by CBS or activated by ESPN may be obtained through the NCAA. Contact Chris Fitzpatrick, associate director for broadcasting (cfitzpatrick@ncaa.org or 317/917-6047) if you are interested in obtaining those rights. For a complete breakdown of the 88 championships, click here.

For Web site approval, submit a link to Durenka Robie, coordinator for corporate and broadcast alliances, at drobie@ncaa.org.  For guidelines, click here.

Click here for information about obtaining NCAA championship footage or a game for institutional use.

For fans to request complete games of any championship game that has been broadcast on television , please visit http://www.ncaaondemand.com/ to place your order.

Internet Live Statistics

The NCAA reserves the right to deny any entity from producing live statistics for NCAA championship play.In the event the NCAA takes on the responsibility of producing a live statistical representation from an NCAA championship event, no other entity will be permitted to do so. Live statistics are considered a protected right that has been granted to CBS as part of a bundled rights agreement, referenced above.  For clarification purposes, a live statistical representation includes play-by-play, score updates, shot charts, updated box scores, photos with captions, etc.

In the event the NCAA, through CBS, does not produce live statistics for a specific championship, the host institution is given priority to produce exclusive live statistics. The host institution will be given the same exclusivity the NCAA would reserve for CBS in such an instance.

Once it is determined that neither the NCAA, nor the host institution, plan to exercise their exclusive rights, the ability to produce live statistics - on a non-exclusive basis - will be granted to each participating school. The definition of a participating school constitutes a school playing in the same event at a specific site.

In each case, no commercial advertising is permitted within the live statistics window. Any questions pertaining to live statistics should be sent to Jeramy Michiaels, NCAA associate director for broadcasting (jmichiaels@ncaa.org).

Championships Results Reporting

The host sports information director, media coordinator or designee is responsible for reporting official championship results to the Association's Web site, http://www.ncaa.com/. Immediately following the conclusion of each championship contest or session, please forward information that specifies the division, sport, round, date, official results and provide a brief game/event summary with photos (if available) to updates@ncaa.com

In other words: NO LIVE VIDEO STREAMING FOR NEXT WEEK"S HOME GAME. :(
However, the NCAA does offer this cool interactive webpage for DIII football:

WC11,

Great article on "Advantage Catdome", good analysis. I would only change one thing, I think you know what that is. Enjoyed the read though! See you Cats Saturday in the puddles. Hopefully there will be more LU representation at the game than on these boards...sheesh  ;)

GO LU
Kingsmen4:
Hey, thanks for coming on the board. I enjoyed your posts and your good humored give and take.
Hope to see you in person at CAL LU next season.

Gig Harbor Cat

Just pulled into the harbor.  Always an easy trip home after a Cat W.  I thought our Cat O Line played with an attitude today.  They continue to impress me.  Hope someone took those boys out somewhere that was all you can eat !!
Great to see Simon back out on the field.  I know he has worked his A$$ off getting back into playing shape.  Spent time on the scout team just getting ready to get back out on the Catdome floor.  Props from me Simon--Putting team first while coming back--That is awesome.
Finally does anyone have any questions about our D  About as Salty as they have been all year.  Made plays, got tons of pressure.  It was awesome.

See you all after T-day

PPJ

PPJ - It was a pleasure meeting you, Grouchygramps and the family.  Simon did great and added some changeup to the offense.  You should be very proud of him.  I told Swede I saw you and he doesn't know how he missed you.

Keep up that sudden service and let me know if you need anything.  Sorry you won't be up next week but we will take it one game at a time and hopefully see you in a coujple of weeks.  If you make it up Friday, we can do something Friday night.  Love ot have you and the family over to the house.

DC - It was great having you back up again.  Hopoe you get feeling better.

Catville Mayor,

Glad to have you back on the Board and bringing home another win for the Cats.  I'm debating if I should crank up the G5 and swoop in for a playoff game....if you hadn't raised my property taxes so much I might be able to afford the gas.

Sure missed the video streaming today to see those great defensive sacks but the Dave and Ty show came across well......they do a great job.  The video of our beloved Catdome just adds a touch to our Far Away Cats around the globe.

ONE GAME AT A TIME

If you can get the G5 down here I will reserve you some inside hanger space at Catdome International Airport.  I will also ensujre that you get the non resident rate.  You can just add it to your tax statement.

By the way for all you posters who have not seen the interactive bracket and what to keep up on it they show Linfield hosting at the Catdome next week.

So, I'm not quite sure I understand how this works.  How was it that UWW had video today?  My interpretation was that if the NCAA is not going to provide video then the host school has the option.  How much revenue or fees must be paid to the NCAA?
Anybody have a layman's term explanation?

Congratulations to the Linfield Wildcats on their playoff victory today.

Central figured out how to pass off MHB later in the game today---that tape might be very helpful if Coach Smith can get ahold of it!

Fantastic job by Linfield today! I thought the defense really brought it. It was interesting how we started out on offense. I think our 1st couple drives/scores were all run....no passing. Great ideas. They couldn't stop us all day on the run.....the wind was blowing at about 40 mph...that may have had something to do with it.

Another thing that I thought was great is that we stepped up our kicking game....I thought they did a great job on kick-offs, punts, field goals and extra points.

The offense I thought was pretty darn good considering most of these guys have never been in the playoffs....great running game and a lot of diversity in the play calling. Boehme was stellar again! Along with the O-Line and the running backs were hard working. I wanted to see #2 in the mix but maybe next week.

UMHB will be even better. I wanted to play Central but we all know that the West Bracket is the toughest in the nation and we need to play better to win the West and move on....we have our chance now and I'm sure the coaches and players look forward to the challenge. This next game has to be the best game in the playoffs next week for sure but maybe Coe/St. Thomas would disagree..... anyway, I'm just proud of Coach Smith...his assistants and all the players for doing what it takes to move on!  Great Job!!!

I think all credit has to go to the QB Snead.  He was throwing darts into double coverage down the middle of the field, scrambling around to create space, standing tall with Cru LBs in his grill...He played outstanding. in the second half.  If he had been off just a little bit I don't think Central gets back in it.  Snead pretty much put the team on his back on offense and got it done.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.
