Catville Mayor,

Just wanted to pop in and say "Hello" and "Congrats", on your new position.  And I can say I used to sit next to the Mayor of Mac up in the Catdome nose bleed seats.  Hope all is well with you, your family and the thriving Metropolis of Mc Minnville. A +K for you.

Hey Cat Fans. Just rulled into Seven Feathers RV park. Storming over Shasta so we figured we would stay here and head home tommorow. Supose to be Sunny on Monday.

Great reading on the boards. Thanks for everything Cat Fans. The Lamson's have to stay home thanksgiving weekend. Serving dinner for the needed on Turkey day and then having a Wedding party for my oldest boy on Saturday. Get the W and we will be at the Catdome for the next game.

God bless all the players and coaches.

Welcome to round 2 Linfield :) from hear on out you guys better bring your A game because the opponents are going to get tougher and tougher starting next week against the cru 8)

Looking at this post with a total of 10 my guess we have someone who does not have a whole lot on the ball with playoffs or otherwise. This should also qualify for (Beyond the obvious alert!). In addition from hear on out maybe he should "listen" to someone who has a little more experience about the playoffs. I am not volunteering however. ???

Congratulations Cats. Looking forward to seeing you take care of one of our old nemesis. Or is it Nemi? ;D
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Lever Street

The wind factor on Saturday was huge.  Made it very difficult to pass.  It was great to see the CAT O run the ball so well.  Both RB and QB ran at will against Cal Lu.  The CATS didn't really utilize the pass all that much.  This CAT team continues to get better and better.  It's great to see them peaking at the right time.  I'll be on the sidelines again next Saturday against UMHB.  Should be a great game, but of course I expect the CAT O and D to both bring it again.

Go Linfield!
You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

Congrats to the Wildcats!  You fellas would have been proud.  I wore a Wildcat t-shirt to the Johnnie game yesterday.  Apparently, it was bad luck for the boys in red  :'(

Hope you guys take the West again!

Dman...I will then take the St. Johns shirt I was going to wear in Collegeville to the UMHB game. Not saying I'm going to wear it.
I WILL if bennie would show up!

How far is McMinville from Portland. Any decent hotels to stay at in Mcminville.

Hi Crudbdad.

McMinnville is about an hour and half drive from Portland International.  Being that if you were coming in on Friday, it may be a little less traffic and you may be able to make it in an hour and 10 minutes.  We are about 45 Miles SW of Portland International.  Pretty easy drive too.

If you want to stay in town I would recommend the Comfort Inn and Suites or the Red Lion Inn.  The Best Western Vinyards Inn is also pretty good and they are all less than 5 minutes from the Catdome.

Both the Comfort Inn and Red Lion are also just 2-3 minutes from downtown where all the good eating and drinking establishments are.  Try Golden Valley Brew Pub for dinner.  Right down the street is a good old watering  hole know effectionatley as the 'D' short for Deluxe.  Some fans meet there Friday evening and some go to the Elks.

If you come out hope you have a great trip
Catville Mayor, thanks for your input. Will be there hopefully meet some of the Catdomers for a beverage before the game.

Thanks Duff!  Honestly I had hope for an SJU/Linfield rematch if all fell into place.  Like many, SJU is on top of my favorite DIII places to visit.

The 'Cats will do their best to carry the flag for the "true" West Region teams.

Belated congrats to Linfield for repping the NWC in style.  Should be one heck of a battle against UMHB next weekend.

WC11, how messed up would it be if a team from the south region won the "west" bracket, a west region team won the "north" and a north region team won the "east"?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Which, quite frankly, is my prediction. ;)

Kingsmen4

Congrats Linfield on advancing in strong fashion. Tough to watch those guys not quite able to get it going for CLU, but a great experience for the players and fans nonetheless.

Didn't make it to the tailgate, ended up hanging out in the locker room and going out on the field for warm-ups. It was definitely cold as advertised but the lack of rain was awesome...great atmosphere and rowdy fans! The clu one man cheer posse that was representing all game is karsten, a clu alum and avid supporter who has not missed a game maybe ever - including the contests against linfield in the 70's.

Linfield dominated the front line on both sides of the ball and that definitely let them dictate the flow of the game. Their running game was full steam ahead and QB may be the most composed and accurate I have ever seen in D3, that kid could have a future with some added weight. The oline had some big boys straight across, and were able to move very well in pass pro.

CLU couldn't quite find a groove all day, and just weren't playing as well as they have the last few games. They struggled keeping momentum on drives and converting when needed. Big plays kept them in it though, and with a few more conversions here and there they may have had a shot.

Very proud of how the Kingsmen played though - I think everyone would agree that there wasn't an ounce of quit in them even with linfield plugging on all cylinders over and over, the clu team kept playing their hearts out till the final whistle.

Congrats to the CLU coaches and players that led this team to a first ever undefeated scaic record and d3 playoff birth. They were a lot of fun to follow this year.

Already looking forward to a repeat and building on this experience for another strong season next year - which will include revenge on the wildcats! Hoping your qb isn't making the trip...

See you next year - good luck in winning it all!
