I just discovered that the CATDOME has covered seats for the home team. C'mon are you kidding me. I thought you Oregonians were hardy souls that braved the elements to watch games ;D

The Oregon elements are wetter than the Texas elements, and we like comfort at the Catdome.

Great post-game article, WC11. I started getting pumped up again just reading it. Pat commented on the "boisterous" crowd at Linfield, and he's right. Students or not, we have always had good support for the Wildcats.
Two words:  THE STREAK

And do not forget to mention the 80 to 90 year-old fans who we help up into the stands, coco.

I have never sat down for a game no matter the weather and I do not begrudge coco his little padded seat.

CRU folk, you can never tuck too many large size plastic garbage bags into whatever you bring to the game. They really come in handy in inclement weather.

The ASC was strange this year, I'm not sure I'd say down, probably about like most years.  HSU was down this year, but Linfield had some to do with that ;) (having a freshman forced into the lineup hurt but they ended the season w 6 straight wins.)  MC was not significantly different, LC  is about the same, McM is on the rise, TLU . . .  well, we'll just say down this year, ETBU has work to do, SRSU is about what you'd expect for a team in the middle of nowhere.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

At this point I will hang my hat on the big boys up front  O and D.  UMHB likes to pound the rock as did Cal Lu.  If the boys stuff the run early and ROCKETMAN does his thing,  I think HB will have trouble hangin with our boys in a Catdome trackmeet.

Let the purple frisbees fly boys,  let em fly

I like the Cats on Sat--by a +14 (And Toby thats at the end of the 1st quarter)

And I like the Cru by 21, but that won't happen either.

+K for the Phone it in.

And Toby,  Im sure we could find you a rib joint here in the NW and we could work on converting you to a Cat Fan. That or a doiuble D and a cold one at the Deluxe might do it.  I think Wildcat11 could hook you up, after all he owes you

Toby was about as great as a host in Abilene that one could be.  Not only did we have a great breakfast but Toby was awesome in breaking down the history of Abilene in the short time we hung out.  If double TT was able to make it out to Mac I would for sure return the favor and #1 on the list WOULD be the double w/ fires at the Deluxe.  Phone that in!

I certainly appreciate the kind words and would love to make the trip but as is usually the case, time and money make that an issue.  However, my wife should be finished with here LPC hours by May and be a full fledged licensed professional counselor.  If i have my way the pacific northwest may be the direction we head, and if I'm in Cat country, you can bet I'll be at the dome pulling for the Cats (with a few obvious exceptions  ;D).

crudbdad,

Don't you worry, we have plenty of seats out in the elements for you and your friends. We Oregonians don't mind the rain, it's just we live with it 9 months a year, so a couple of hrs. under the big top to watch our Wildcats pound out 54 consecitive winning seasons is a simple pleasure we enjoy!!!

Safe travels to you and all who will be coming out west.

GHC, sorry we missed you at the tailgater, did old blue survive for another week?
DC1, was good to see you, what did the Grandson think of the Hawaiian beef sticks? See you this week!!

GO WILDCATS!
ONE GAME AT A TIME!!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

D O.C.

Listen to all the purring on this board!
Must turn some stomachs.

Beancounter? Lurking out there?  I still owe you.
Any of you old coots have any LINFIELD footabll shirts you want to part with at the tailgater?  I keep giving mine away. SOMEBODY did not bid for me in that auction.  I can settle that with a blindside at the DeLuxe.

I'm purring because I did not come for homecoming, or last week, but chose to gamble on the team TCB so I could come all down the line.   8)
