ADvantage Catdome:  Linfield/Cal Lu Post Game Interviews

You're getting to be a real pro with these, and the players interview well. Kudos to the Oline for allowing only 4 sacks all year.

TDT, there are frequent flights between SEA TAC and PDX.

Yet again, no webcast of the game this weekend. This is just stupid. Stupid. If the $ amount being tossed around to broadcast the game (the number that must be paid to the ncaa) is true, it would easily be recouped. There is no way I can attend the game this weekend. I would like to be able to see it. It looks like the PTB in the athletic dept dont see it the same way. Idiots.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

TDT we are heading out to the Catdome on Wed for T day

Weather looks good for an air attack on Saturday....high of 45, no rain.

How far is McMinville from Portland. Any decent hotels to stay at in Mcminville.

Depending on where you are in Portland, it's about an hour drive - a bit less from the western burbs (Beaverton, Downtown, etc.)  McMenamin's old Hotel Oregon has a good rep, I think, but I've never stayed there. McMenamin's started out in the restaurant/brewpub biz and in the past 10-15 years , they've ventured into restoring old buildings/hotels - they do a pretty good job at all of the restaurants of theirs I've visited.

If you disagree please add more info...for people coming in after dark - even a downpour - where driving a strange place is stressful, staying in Salem is not a bad choice.
a) it is a very straight shot down Interstate 5 from PDX or GHC's train depot
b) it has more lodging than McMinnville with most major chains
c) it is not difficult getting the 26 miles to McMinnville the next day
d) you could cruise the NWC runner-up school on the way out of town

Does anybody have a run down on UMHB? Are they still running the same offense they did in 2004? What % of pass to run....etc?

Hey Ralph,   are you going to make the trip to the catdome?

After watching all the films last night UMHB  looooooks very good or could it be that  the ASC is down  a little this year ?  :-[  NO one really put them to the test after their loss to Miss until Central came alone ..
It should be another barn burner  on sat.   8)

I am going to Colorado to see my grandsons.   ;)

I think that the HSU game thru the first half is representative of the ASC this year.  HSU was a legitimate closer #2 until Feaster's injury.

I think that this will be a great game.  I cannot think of an opponent that might be more comfortable going to Oregon for a playoff game.

Ralph ,  Did you watch the same films we got  ???
SOL, EAST , HP

I do agree HS was a good team for the first half ..

Sorry to hear you will miss the big game it should be a real dooooosie, that's what's nice about playoff time i get to have the best of both worlds family and football..

Go cats
Go big D

Playoff question here. It's my understanding if Linfield wins Saturday, they will host on December 5th, since the Cats are a higher seed than either Coe or St. Thomas.
Is this correct?

Yes, Linfield would host the next round if we beat UMHB.

I know this is a bit belated, but in the category of better late than never...

I was hoping for a different outcome, but wanted to extend congratulations to the Wildcats on their first round win over the Kingsmen.  I didn't make the trip, but I've talked to a few folks who did, and they came away extremely impressed with the Cats.

Sounds like the OxyBob.com forecast was correct - Cal Lu was more of a game control team this year, and when they got down big early it was too much to overcome.  I am looking forward to the rematch next September down here in Thousand Oaks - I'll guarantee a game day temp between 75-88.  ;)

Good luck to the Cats the rest of the way, we'll be pulling for our west coast brethren, hopefully for several weeks to come!
