Never seen a defensive performance like that.... glad I picked up the Cat D for my fantasy league  :)

Great defensive adjustments after going down 14-3... you could tell having 5 D-lineman was not playing into the Cru's blocking scheme.

Adjustments rule the day!!! I feel prophetic.

Outstanding work by the cats today.  I look forward to hearing the insights from those fortunate to make the game in person.

11,
Thanks for the re-cap articles of the week.  My prediction for tomorrow:  Whichever team brings their "A" Game and doesn't turn over the ball wins!!!  Let's hope it's the Cats!!

I am TOTALLY STUNNED!!!!!I check into the ingame post and the Cats are down in the first quarter 14-3....My little nerveometer goes into the red as I say...."Uh Oh...this spells bad news."  2.5 hours later I check in again hoping for the best but expecting the worst.....I pick up the ingame post where I left off........Whoooaaaaaaaaa! Can you believe this....Nobody expected that.  What a game...Congratulations Wildcats....Big kudos to coach Joe and his adjustments and play calling.  Can't wait to read WC11's analysis and everyone's response.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Our D held them to 21 points again. Remember the Stagg Bowl? 28-21
I was concerned when the CATS were down 14-3. I have to say the CATS astounded me with the way they played today.
What a game! Thank you Linfield!

Congrats on the big win. Linfield coaching staff did a great job making adjustments and the team executed them.

Take it to St. Thomas next week... phone it in  ;)

Look who else was being prophetic:
"They are very good and very well-coached. The quarterback is a really good thrower and they are very precise as a team," Cru head coach Pete Fredenburg said. "This is going to be a real chore for us. After playing Central, I think our players understand the level at which you have to play in the playoffs. You have to play hard and compete for 60 minutes because there is such a small margin for error in the postseason. We know that if we don't play very well that we will be turning in our equipment and putting the pads away next week."

That was from earlier in the week and posted on the cru's web page.

What a game! The change of momentum was incredible, I think the turning point was the 4th down stop of MHB in Linfield territory with the score 14-3, the Cats would convert a field goal on their ensuing drive.
I have to admit, when the Cru bolted out to that 11 point lead, I thought the Cats were in serious trouble. Would like to hear if that 4th down defensive stand I just mentioned really ignited the Cats on the sidelines, they just seemed like a different team after that.
The defensive touchdowns were amazing, it did seemed the Cru lost something when they pulled their starter at QB early in the game. When he returned, he wasn't as accurate, of course, the Cats made defensive adjustments, too.

Great job by the top "50" camera person, I enjoyed the coverage from out here in the midwest. Congratulations, Wildcats.

Congrats Cats.....Defenses Win Championships...and if the past 3 weeks is any indication, the Big D will be ready for another Pop Quiz against the Tommies.  The Cats just passed their Mid Terms in flying colors but it's still 3 more weeks before the Final Exam!

GO CATS....ONE GAME AT A TIME!!!

Monrovia -- Did you see if 28 for the Cru made it back into the game in the 2nd half? I wasn't able to watch the feed after the break.

At the point when the first quarter score was 14-3 in todays game, there was similarity to Linfield's 1984(?) NAIA championship game in which they were down 22-0 in the 3rd quarter. In both games it seemed they were overmatched at that point as the other team clearly had the Cats on their collective heels...if not rear-ends.

It is hard to describe the dominance that UMHB showed early in building that early 14-3 lead. Given their size and athleticism, it was not hard for Cat fans to be "in the dumper" early in the game. It didn't look good. By halftime, though, the momentum seemed to have changed as the Cru early dominance gradually faded. It was as if the whole team got tired.

The second half was surreal. One sat (or stood) there wondering what was happening. The defense, particularly, was dominating and the offense wasn't bad either. I'm not sure I've ever seen the wheels come off a team as completely as they did for UMHB. Makes one wonder if there isn't a "story" behind the collapse...besides that Linfields poise and adjustments made the difference.

Fantastic game today. Will have to see if Mama Oldcat can find some more money in her cookie jar to make the trip to Mac again next week.

Fantastic experience at the Catdome today. One of the most memorable in many years.

Just got back from dinner.  Congrats Wildcats on the monkey stomp.  I can honestly say I never saw that one coming.  The D was outstanding and opportunistic.  That generally leads to good things.  Get it done again next week.  and LEAVE NO DOUBT ( you certainly didn't today.)
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Not Monrovia here, but #28 did see a little action in the second half, but was a non-factor. In the last play for the Cru of the first half, he was injured, and I saw him limp off the field on the wide shot of the live feed. Forget his name, but he made some impressive gains in the first half, tough back to bring down.
