Sunny skies today.  Shorts and flop flops will work just fine.

As if we need more fickin food at this time,  11 and I will be hitting it at the Deluxe.  Insider info will flow, along with all predictions that matter.
We may even throw some purple frisbees around the bar as a warm up for tomorrow.

Ya never know

TDT--If we go another round I will be happy to pick you up at SeaTac on Friday.  Its a 4 hr ride to the Catdome from there.  Are you sure you can't fly in to PDX?

Anyway, we have some business to take care of tomorrow before any plans can be made

Go Cats  Update-- Cats 38  UMHB 17  Phone it in, its in the bank boys

GHC, I saw this prediction and wondered... well you know what I mean.

But little did I know how you would underestimate the outcome!

Congratulations.

Win it all!

There is a chance that there could still only be five unique Stagg winners since 1996, and three are still competing.

Awesome day at the CatDome today!! A little nervous early, but we made the adjustments, picked each other up and moved on to the Quarters.  December football is back in McMinnville!!!

The 3rd Quarter was legendary by the Cat defense......unbelievable.

Crowd should be amped with the students back in session next weekend.

Spirit making the journey from STL which only means the tailgate starts around 7am

Good game cats.........good luck next week.  Get to Salem!!!!!

UMHB was a worthy adversary. Congratulations on a fine season.

Did anybody at the game notice UMHB resembling the likes of General Custer? They too rode into battle confident of victory, struck first with a few well placed volleys but then where overwhelmed by a superior force resulting in a crushing defeat.

No matter how hard they prepare, the Tommies know their fate will be the same.

Isn't it fun being a CAT?

Lost in things I love most: the Universe, a good woman, and LINFIELD FOOTBALL

Proud Papa Joe

What a game. ;D ;D Got the live video feed and it was great. Camera's were good and never lost the feed. PPJ and his crew watched the game. Quite first half but I never doudted the big D. It has happend more then once this year that the D would go in at half down or close and come out and take control. I do believe your Defense is one of the smartest group of men in DIII Football.

Lets not forget the Offense. They did a great job in holding onto the ball the whole game. Even on the double and triple reverse. I have never seen the ball tossed so many times in one play.

One more thing. Nice over the head catch Simon. looked like Willie Mays in center field. Great job.

So, see you all this Saturday. Can't wait. Clocks allready ticking.

Go Cats

P.S. Great game MHB. You guys are BEAST. I am sure we will see you next year in the Playoffs.

What a game! The change of momentum was incredible, I think the turning point was the 4th down stop of MHB in Linfield territory with the score 14-3, the Cats would convert a field goal on their ensuing drive.
I have to admit, when the Cru bolted out to that 11 point lead, I thought the Cats were in serious trouble. Would like to hear if that 4th down defensive stand I just mentioned really ignited the Cats on the sidelines, they just seemed like a different team after that.
The defensive touchdowns were amazing, it did seemed the Cru lost something when they pulled their starter at QB early in the game. When he returned, he wasn't as accurate, of course, the Cats made defensive adjustments, too.

Great job by the top "50" camera person, I enjoyed the coverage from out here in the midwest. Congratulations, Wildcats.

I agree... we go down 21-3 and it may be a completely different result.... that fourth down play gave us a sense that we could do it....   GREAT game Cats... GREAT defense... GREAT O-Line play... WHAT A WIN!!!  on to round three.... and Tommies welcome to the  Catdome!!!

GO CATS!!

I'm just sitting here near the CatDome in Awe....!!! This is fantastic! Great work players, coaches and administration! (and parents!)

Go Wildcats!!!

I'm not one to be a back seat QB but ....man...."I think our defense was such a big part of that win! Great Job D!"

D O.C.

I can still see the 3 dbs trying to catch Patterson

I watched the game via streaming video and I gotta say WOW.  And that doesn't even include the play on the field!  I've watched a few different schools over the past couple of years and the Linfield broadcast is top drawer.  Multiple angles and instant replays.  Any of you close to the program tell them they are doing a fantastic job.

p.s. Keep up the good work on the field also, I too may have to follow via Iphone next week.

Island Cat

I could actually feel my blood pressure rising during that 1st qtr. (WTF! :o). But, after Boehme's score just before the half (Whew!), I was breathing OK again. The momentum shifted and that's all she wrote. Beautiful job by the coaching staff and execution by the boys!

The Tommies are worthy adversaries but, I'm sorry, "there 'ain't no stoppin' us now!"

SALEM, VIRGINIA OR BUST!!!

(I must Google, where the heck is it? Does Hawaiian fly there? hehehe)

Aloha,
Island Cat

Go D!

ps: Sorry I wasn't very social at last week's game and missed y'all (except for DC1, it's hard to miss him), but was a little under the weather. I did muster up up some Imodium and took my favorite D-Lineman, his girlfriend, her cousin, and a few of the other Island Cats to the buffet at the casino after the game (I nibbled in awe as I watched these boys put away 3 plates each, I think Stradz went for a 4th). I won a little on the quarter machine too! ;D

Back at Campus, I got to meet more of the players as they celebrated the win (with other friends from a different campus) with a little soire. What a great group of young adults. I'm so happy for my son to be able to experience college life at Linfield.

I'm proud to be a Linfield Dad!

Islandcat....
What your son is experiancing, is the the Linfield way! That we Alums are so pasioniate to all the programs{not just football} is something you dont't get at all schools>. I believe the players see it and just want to be part of it! I had my blood taken just the other day...... was a perfect color of Purple. GO CATS

What a day!

To take down the Cru like that was .............Can't put words to it.
They were well Coached, had studs at the right positions and well???????
What a battle, I'll take the play in the second half all day long!!
But to keep the cru to just 14 in the 1st H. was key to the game.

What do we call this team, PPj and all the other parents don't get mad, but this has to be one of best un...overl...noname teams in Linfield History. picked 3rd in the NWC, taking down the best of the best of D3 all year,,, many on the road is just "fantastic"!!

Great to see everyone, and see you next week. coments on the game after
.....well just after!

Steve>>> I'm always open for promotions!!!! ;D ;D
My,My My a sandwich sounds good right now!! Quiznos is the only place to eat after a game !!! Meet and greet players and students. can it get any better then that?

GO WILDCATS!!
ONE GAME AT A TIME!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Ralph,

No question about it...those of us that feel it deep understand!
4 year ago I tossed and turned all night long re-living play after play of the unforgetable "44-41".  That's not nearly the same as the sleepless night I just had...re-living a performance to remember.  What a way to lose sleep ;)
...and for the first time this year I do believe I saw something on the field that is quite rare...
Linfield coaches may have been caught with a slight upturn at the corner of the lip. ::)
It won't last long...so look quick because by now they're way into next week.
