Las Vegas Wildcards

Back from the Land of no computers (my Mom's apt!), I am so thrilled to see that Linfield came through so well this past Saturday!!  Much good luck for the following game.  Will it be in Linfield?  Against whom?  I feel so out of it as I usually know more details than I seem to know this go-round.

ALL THE BEST TO THE RED AND PURPLE!!
Hope to see a bunch of you'all soon in Salem, V-I-R-G-I-N-I-A!!

I believe if Linfield and Wisconsin-Whitewater win, the Cats will be at the Warhawks on Dec. 12. If WW loses, Linfield would be the highest remaining seed in the West bracket, so the Cats would earn the right to host on 12-12.

I think we lost to Concordia way back when Langsdorf played there as well. Unless that's the one that's mentioned.

It's great to see a lot of folks jumping on the Wildcat bandwagon. For that reason, this CAT is for you!

Beings I don't live in the PNW, is it true the Civil War game was moved to Thursday to accommodate all of the Beav n Duck fans so they can watch "the game" on Saturday?  :)

Only a fool and George Custer has taken the opponent lightly. If the Tommies run the ball with authority, their Hogs control the line scrimmage, it should make for an interesting game. Nevertheless, our friends in Minnesota and Wisconsin remember "The Butcher." Now we possess "The Rocket Man." Elliott had a tremendous supporting cat and the outcome was very positive. It remains to be seen how history will treat our present guys. It's looking good, but beating UMHB does not a season make.

We play the Tommies and only the Tommies this  Saturday. Abuse 'em or lose to 'em.

Good luck to Linfield this next weekend.  I sure wish you guys were coming to St. John's for another round of fun.  It's good to see Linfield back in the thick of things after a couple of non-Linfield-like years.  St. Thomas is a good team with pretty decent running and passing games so don't take them lightly.   Keep up the good and rabid smack.  The CatDome is a real fun place to watch a football game.

Thanks, Chewey.
I wish we could have hosted SJU out here again. The result likely would have been different this year. Why do you guys duck us when we're strong?

The coaches won't overlook the tommies. Smith and Co. are masters and will have the players ready to go. If our guys play half as well as they did last Saturday, we'll be fine.

Olinemom,
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and enjoyed the break from school.

Cats in a rout.
Leave no doubt.

Two words:  THE STREAK

The quality of the webcast was very good last weekend. The volume was low, but we did a lot of yelling anyway.

The tommies qb is #22? Never trust a qb that wears a number in the 20's.

I arrive @pdx 5pm friday. The train rolls to the dome at 6:30am. Irish whisky will be by my side.

2002 at the dome, the johnnies got us when we played a crud game. Never again. 2003 they got us @sju, but they had a pretty good team that year. This year, we roll st tom.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

It's not like tommy boy noticed.   :D
Everyday is payday in paradise.

I tried not to watch the "TV" ball last Saturday but instead watch the trenches and after 50 hours of reflection I have surmised that conditioning and technique are the biggest part of the 'CATS 11 wins. What every coach preaches, ey?

I'm not surprised--how many coaches could survive after having losing seasons despite having "the best team in the conference" year in an year out....  ;D
Go Cats!

Speckman might be interested or how about Charlie Weis? ;)
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

QuoteWU's undefeated season last year
I was under the impression you lost your last game. Silly me.  :)
Perhaps I should've  said "regular season" - which, btw, included a 52-28 Wildcat Monkey Stomp at the Catdome!

For some reason it was much easier for this Bearcat fan to jump on the band wagon for the Lutes during their championship run . . . but (gulp!) I'm jumping on the Wildcat Bandwagon now.  Go Wildcats!!!

Update on Speckman: As far as I can tell, he's scheduled to be interviewed by PSU today.  The Collegian isn't printing this week, but the sports editor of the Vanguard at PSU has promised to keep me posted.  Whatever I hear will come straight here.  My gut tells me that Speck won't leave - the man has the Bearcat claw tattooed on his ankle after all - but I won't feel settled until the process is finished.

Another PSU/Speckman update, sort of

My personal take is this would be a bad move for all parties if Speckman was to be chosen to take the job. I get the impression that Willamette's program has become interwoven with Speckman as an individual, and it would be quite damaging for the program for him to leave under these circumstances. 2nd, I don't know his full background, but I'm pretty sure he's only coached HS and WU, and I think it would be asking a lot for any long time d3 coach to jump directly to the head of a 1-AA school like this. So many different rules and regs, let alone just the difference in culture from a d3 to scholarship school. Not saying he couldn't do it, but I would want someone who has a little more time at that level, at least as an assistant.
