Agreed, tommiegun - Video coverage is way too tight! Zoom that camera out a little so we can see more of the play!

Amen, way too tight.  Not sure why they do it that way.  Wish they'd pull it back a bit.

Linfield benefits from an awful offsides call

Why go no huddle and screw around as long as the Wildcats do. It's puzzling

Great win Cats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The O looked a little out of sinc though.  Hope that's out of our system.
Gotta be really sharp next week! But three down, two to go.
YEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

A win is a win.
Any play-off win is huge!
Defense looked OK.
Do not know why the offense did not click.
Back to traveling.
Long range Weather.com calls for snow Friday, 30 degrees, partly cloudy Saturday. Feels like 15.
Aloha Island Boys!

(Loved the humorous switching teams there at the end. Took the boring right out of the game.)

Great game, Wildcats! Keep representing the NWC all the way to Salem (the *other* Salem, that is!).

Good luck vs UWW next week!

Ya DO.C.  The switcharoo was great.  I suppose there will be whining about us not running the ball on that play, but if UST is calling time outs, they still think the door's open, and it's our job to close it.

D O.C.

Two double reverse passes and waiting for the punt team to come out by St Caruso is so Pop Warner so I believe it showed a sense of humor by the LINFIELD coaching staff.

You think there will be complaining about that? I hope not. That was a great play call and Linfield kneeled it out after that. Who wants to give the other team the ball when it doesn't have to?

Peoria, Arizona station checking in.

The other Peoria, Arizona station checking in here... from our frozen-North onsite location...in McMinnville. When Mrs. OldCatProf and I got up this morning we thought for a moment that the game had been moved to Ohio, or perhaps we were a week ahead of ourselves and had flown to Whitewater, Wisconsin by mistake. Brrrr, it was cold; at least for a couple of Arizona people. By game time, however, the sun was out and, while still VERY cool, it wasn't that bad.

Another great day at the Catdome for Linfield fans. A tough hard-fought game for two very good and well-coached teams. I suppose UST's defense had something to do with it, but the offense looked a little ragged at times. (Three penalties in a row in the first quarter; some off-target passes, and too many passes that were simply dropped.) Gotta hand it to UST, though, in that they got more hard sacks of our QB than I've seen all year. Still, a great job overall by the offensive line against a squad of some big, quick defenders.

Overall, what can you say except that it was another great performance by the Cats. Thirty-one points against a defense that hadn't given up that many points in a game all year; a defense that limited a vaunted running game to a sub-par performance and got two interceptions; and special teams that blocked a punt and recovered a fumbled punt.

Congrats to all the Cats. Job well-done.

Lever Street

Just returned from Catdome.  UST had some big boys all over the place.  But the CATS were quicker.  CATS really benefited from early bad passes by #22 of UST, resulting in two picks.  CAT D played really well again.  Great win for Linfield.

Go CATS Go!
You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

Great job Cats....a win is a win in the playoffs.  It may not have been our sharpest game but the competition gets tougher each week the further you play into December.  If the Cats take their "A GAME" on the road to Whitewater it could be one tremendous game.  I wouldn't write the Cats off just yet.....

GO CATS....ONE GAME AT A TIME
