Saw another long range weather forecast for Saturday in Wisconsin. Partly sunny, with highs in the 20s. If that remains the case, weather shouldn't be an advantage for the Warhawks.

In non D3 news, did anyone catch the end of the Fresno game versus Illinois? That was insane.

Peoria, Arizona station checking in.

The other Peoria, Arizona station checking in here... from our frozen-North onsite location...in McMinnville. When Mrs. OldCatProf and I got up this morning we thought for a moment that the game had been moved to Ohio, or perhaps we were a week ahead of ourselves and had flown to Whitewater, Wisconsin by mistake. Brrrr, it was cold; at least for a couple of Arizona people. By game time, however, the sun was out and, while still VERY cool, it wasn't that bad.

Another great day at the Catdome for Linfield fans. A tough hard-fought game for two very good and well-coached teams. I suppose UST's defense had something to do with it, but the offense looked a little ragged at times. (Three penalties in a row in the first quarter; some off-target passes, and too many passes that were simply dropped.) Gotta hand it to UST, though, in that they got more hard sacks of our QB than I've seen all year. Still, a great job overall by the offensive line against a squad of some big, quick defenders.

Overall, what can you say except that it was another great performance by the Cats. Thirty-one points against a defense that hadn't given up that many points in a game all year; a defense that limited a vaunted running game to a sub-par performance and got two interceptions; and special teams that blocked a punt and recovered a fumbled punt.

Congrats to all the Cats. Job well-done.

I'm jealous! Cold weather and all, we would have loved to be in McMinnville today. Clear and cold. The way football should be played. You witnessed a good game. Just think how cold it will be next weekend at uww. :P
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Chewey,

I make no effort to hide that I'm very anti all-purple uniform that the 'Cats bust out once a year.  Hate it.  I'm 100% on the Purple Top, White pant, white shoes w/ red trim.  Always looks sharp.  Wouldn't mind seeing the 'Cats bust out a alt. red top but I don't have 10K laying around to outfit the team in those and I'm sure they would want to use that money for something else.

100% agreement, Wildcat11.    Purple and white looks very sharp!!

The 2009 "No-name" Linfield team wins again Saturday, 34-21.

Good call on the final score George.  ;)

Congrats Cats!!!!!!  Now get UWW!!!!!  I got to watch the second half, UST seemed fairly one dimensional on offense.

I would love to see the Cats get to Salem.  Good Luck.

College football in December, NCAA playoffs, is a great atmosphere. What a fun game to see and photograph. Good luck Cats in Wisconsin.

Great to see more students. Man, Rematch from 2005. Hopefully it'll end different  :'(

Congratulations to the Wildcats for advancing to the semi-finals. It will be fun to watch up close and personal this game after not making it out to the 05 game. Hope a good number of you are able to make it to the Perk next week.

It all depends... I'd like it to be the same as 05 with the VISITORS scoring last and winning in a thriller!

Thank you Cats for a win. As stated in earlier weeks against other opponents, our O was better than their O. Our D had more salt, and we really insulted their kick and punt returner into performing less than stellar.

Now, let's pack the Perk with Purple Frisbees!

The Warhawks wore their black jersey/purple pant uniform today, if they do the solid color routine same next week, I'm guessing the Cats will be in all white.

Northern WinterHawk

Just arrived back at the Residence Inn in Portland from the Game. Three things that were obvious.
1. Linfield is an Awesome Team, I wish them well next week & hope they WIN at UWW.
2. Tommies are an Awesome Team, just ran into a buzzsaw today. Thanks Tommie Fans, a diehard to the end group. NCAA Playoffs, we'll see you deeper Next Year.
3. The 'Cats Fans are 2nd to none! Where do you go to watch a game and the fans under the dome cheer louder for the fallen Tommie player than do our own Team? A real classy group of loyal, proud & gracious FANS! Thanks for your hospitality 'Cat Fans.

We'll see the Playoffs again Next Year & no doubt will go deeper than the Qtr's!

I was very impressed with STU. They were really a solid bunch. Very large also. Linfield was out of sinc on offense but our defense played a solid game and kept STU in check.

chewey from SJU tried to pull the wool over our eyes and make it sound like STU wasn't that good but they were a very good team. They didn't have the talent at the skill positions like Cal Luth and UMHB did but they were better on defense and had a better O-line than either of those teams IMHO.

Their pass rush/blitz was frustrating to us and Boehme got sacked more times than I would like. That is good though because now we know we must attack with shorter time frames which is not a bad thing. STU is very good with rush defense. But out guys got good yardage and ground it out....no long runs but at least we kept them honest.

Overall just a great game at the CatDome and it was great to see a very large STU crowd on hand also. They were very vocal and really cheered their team on. They never gave up the whole game.

PPJ,

Great interview with your son in the Post Game Press Conference (video on Linfield website).  You and Grouchy Gramps should be very proud.  Simon played a great game and yet in the press conference came across very humbling and mentioned your roll in helping him make the major decision rather or not to sit out the balance of the year or be part of this teams run deep into the playoffs.

GO CATS....ONE GAME AT A TIME
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Does anybody know if the game @ Whitewater will be on a video feed?
