you guys going to the game may not have much time for sight-seeing, but if you want to see a national shrine, you could go to the Spam museum down near the southern border of Minnesota.

You lucky dogs, getting to see the game in person.
Safe travels, everyone, and no injuries!

GO 'CATS!
Yes. Load up on spam and use it to fuel the smudge pots at the tailgate before the game!!!!!!!!!! ;D
Congrats Mr. Smith!  The cats got screwed on all region!  Must be the time zone.  :P

Yes, the All-West Region Team selectors feel that this year's Wildcat team is a "No-Name" team.

Maybe.   But, this bunch of players actually plays as a team and not as individuals.   OK 'Cats, now show the NCAA that Linfield is one fine team who can beat UW-W and their six first team all stars.

GO CATS! GO!

Good luck this weekend Wildcats.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

George, FYI - D3football.com compliled the all-region team from the schools nominations, not the NCAA.

So what?  If we nominate the whole team we get more 1st teamers.  I doubt there were just two nominated.

I'd prefer to have a "no name" team (that plays as a team) rather than 6 All Region picks who thinks they are unbeatable.  That's why we play the game!!

GO CATS....show the nation, the "no name" team can shake things up and having them all scratching their heads for underestimating what a Total Team Effort can accomplish.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Easy bird, that wasn't the point. Simply trying to point out it wasn't the NCAA that made the team - if George wants to get his feathers ruffled, too, it should be directed at D3football.com - it was their team - not the NCAA!!  ::)

I understand your point.  My point is that you can be the best player at your position and not be on the best team.  Just because D3 picks UWW to win doesn't mean they should have that many more picks than everyone else. I'm not  so bummed about the firft team cats as much as I am about the totals.  I don't see how you can go as deep as we have into the play offs and not have more total selections. that's all. I know.....I'm biased.  Oh well. :'(

Wow, all I can say is you're going to be in for a rude awaking if you believe all that. I don't think you mean that only your "no name" team is capable of playing as a team, but that is certainly what it sounds like.  Hope you have no trouble getting all the sand cleaned out of your hair!  ;)

6t3bird, I pretty much agree with your comment that a deep playoff might garner a few additional selections. I am mildly surprised Linfield wasn't represented more. I'm sure the Warhawks playing in the Stagg the last 4 years, having their picks on display on the national stage, so to speak, makes it difficult to leave those guys off the team, they are very deserving. I actually think Donovan should be the 1st team QB selection, but what are you going to do? Either way, I'm sure it's not a whole lot of fun picking these teams in the first place - they're never going to satisfy everybody. On the bright side, if more cats were selected, cat fans wouldn't have the "no name team" motto to toot their horns about.  ;)

I have to agree with BoBo.  If Linfield had been in the quarterfinals or semis that past few years, I'm sure we would have more representation on the list.  But as any good 'Cat knows, 6-3 is NOT acceptable, especially 3 years in a row.  I believe we are on the upswing again and look forward to many years of deep playoff runs.

Ya, you're probably right.  However, we did play 3 playoff games before the picks came out.  It will be interesting to see what the opinions are going into next season.  But hey!  I'll worry about tomorrow for now.
Go Cats! TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to thank D3.com for ripping my heart out again.  After 4 years, I think I finally forgot the details of the 2005 UWW/Linfield game (total classic game, too.), only to be reminded in vivid detail.

Damn.......... :'(

GO CATS!!! Let's get it back tomorrow!
