Linfield61

The Cats got to Practice on Wisconsin's practice field. I believe it's indoors. Why does D3 have to bring up the 2005 game? its painful. Good luck to the Cats, and hope for a win.

Quote from an Article by Marty Gitlin off the NCAA.com site. Article focused on Wesley/Mt. Union playing in Semi  and qoute is from the last line in article...appears assumption is winner of Mt. Union/Wesley is playing already determined winner of Linield/ Whitewater  "Of course, whoever wins this match will have to face Wesley's nemesis – University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, which plays host to Linfield on Saturday in the other semifinal. The championship is scheduled for Dec. 19 at Salem, Va. "  ???

Landed in Chicago about an hour ago... not that bad at all.  Hope it stays like this and temp won't be an issue.

Hey, those same writers all said Linfield would win in 2005.... they were wrong then,..... and they could easily be wrong now.  It's easy to pick the favorite.

Just come away from WWW with that damn cannon in pieces. I still strikes me as the most unusual thing about Mounts game was how happy he was to keep shooting it even when the game was out of reach. Up till this year, John Carroll  ROTC students always set off a cannon for scores. After two years with no shots, they left their toy in the armory. No weapons inside campus facilties except that cannon. Wonder if they have run an evaluation on
his stability lately.

Hope to meet many of you nice folk should we find are selves amongst the Blue Ridge Mountains
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Thanks for your kind words. As much as I try to "pull back" and look as objectively as I can at a game, that purple just keeps bleeding through. Hopefully, the articles are interesting, respectful, and analytical enough to at least present plausible scenarios.  If Linfield wins today, it will be much easier to write "neutrally" next week.

May all four teams playing today be blessed with an injury free day. I believe all the athletes and coaches will 'leave it all on the field". It has been a great season and I hope every player has a GREAT time today. I hope all the kids know, these ARE the good old days!  :)
