Augsburg, actually.

Well somewhere back east.  :)

Awesome video and blog by Taylor. Your "...cutting room floor" shots are outstanding. They gave me a real sense of being at the Catdome. They brought back some good memories of when I was at Maxwell Field. Could you make that a regular feature? I know it's a lot of work, but man you are putting out some excellent coverage for all of us here on the internet. I enjoy the behind the scenes footage as much if not more than the actual game film. I'm going to keep an eye and and ear open for Taylor next season. I wish him well.

I gave you an applause. Thanks for all you do.

Thanks R&P.  Really appreicate it and thanks to everyone for supporting the site/blog.

The Cutting Room Floors will be a regular feature during the next few months.  They are simple and fast to put together so it's not a big deal in punching those up.  The ADvantage is lining up some more player blogs and a Red and Purple Interview with a current player.  Stay tuned....

Oh swell, now we lose a coach.....

Not really.  The arena season is spring/summer.  I'm not 100% sure what Coach Elliott's plans are but he should be available next fall if he wants to be back.  I hope so because from what I've seen he's a pretty dang good coach.

I wish him nothing but the best. I hope he has continued success in whatever he chooses to do.

That's great news for Brett, he did not have the opportunity to play much for San Jose before getting hurt. There have been a number of arena league players who have developed and made NFL rosters. The arena league games will be on NFL Network starting in April, I recall the Portland Sea Dragons lasted only a season before folding. Arena football is actually more entertaining in person than on TV.

I think Casey Allen is with the Boise Burn, and Taylor Summers was linked with the UNGL.

Oops, I was wrong about the Boise Burn, they have suspended operations for the 2010 season, don't know if they're coming back. Has anyone heard if Casey will be playing for another arena team?

If the Utah Blaze has done the research they have contacted Casey already.

I missed the AFL last year. I like to see some kind of Football during the summer.

Back from he coaching clinic in Vegas.  Speckman is a great speaker.  His insight was great on the fly sweep.  He had some funny lines too.  My favorite came when he showed us a clip where a kid turned the corner and was caught from behind after about 25 yards.

"If that kid's a better athlete he scores.  But he'll kick your @ss in calculus."

Great session.

I don't think that Brett is going to give up coaching unless he gets a shot back in the NFL.  He's a great coach with a bright future and since the seasons don't conflict he should be roaming the sidelines @ the catdome in 2010.  I'm sure he's still going to be looking for a GA spot or trying to advance his career in coaching as well.  Casey will find a place to play as well as long as he still wants to play.  I got a chance to see him play indoors and he was just as good there as he was on the big field when we played together.  As for Taylor Summers, I don't think that he is playing in the UGNFL or whatever since the league never played a game.  Good to see that Brett is back playin ball I know he missed it for the season he was out, and he never really got hurt in San Jose he was on IR so they could pay him and keep him on their roster.  If they didn't then they would've either had to cut him (and potentially play against him) or pay him practice squad $ which isn't nearly as good...
Savage Storm is on the move in the Lone Star Conference!

Thanks for the thoughts 4.  You should know better than any of us.  As much as I appreciate the staff I understand when the young ones move on and up the coaching ladder.  Not only is the program a great training grounds for the players but also for guys that are starting their coaching careers.

Hope to see you around at camp.  -11

wc11.......just from watching your video  it sure looks like the Cats played with a lot more enthusiasm than the Tigers.  Nice job once again.

Appreciate the words but I have to say Oxy was pretty dang fired up that night too.  Besides the lighting it's a nice setting for small college football.
