Good idea.   ;)

light n' darkness

seems to me that what is happening all over. i must be old school, but the same guy thst gets in a street fight is that same guy you want next to you when the chips are down. masoli was creep'n, thats what made him a good qb, sneaky bugga. but he got caught, not good off the field or when running an option. think about it, you get 100 guys together and somebody will figue out some way to get into trouble. just add alcohol and a teflon conplex. and you have what you see. its happened since before facemasks went on the helmets. and it will be in that papers next week.

i'd like to ask what was it like when you went to college? what did you do? man i dont know that statutes of limitations, but i could tell some stories that would blow you away. it is what it is. college life. most don't live in reality. you just see whats in front of your face. your whole world is that little town you reside in.

bring the mud back to the catdome. lets get down and dirty.

as for masoli, he'll be back, sneaker than ever...... "Tama Leaga"

besides a season for the ducks is not a season for everyone else.

Yeah, l 'n d, I still bemoan making the crack-back block illegal. Nothing better than finding a guy any size who was too stupid to look where he was heading. Sort of Darwinian, ya know.   ;)

As you suggested recently, it appears Menlo's days in the NWC are numbered. For all the true NWC schools, removing Menlo will save money in travel costs, I think it's a roughly 11 hour bus ride from McMinnville, for example. Guess you could say the NWC would be helping the environment by removing the Oaks from the football schedules. Does anyone know if the Washington NWC schools took the bus or plane to Menlo?
I had the feeling football was closer than we thought when that blue George Fox helmet with the Bruin logo turned up on the school website a while back. Good news all around for the NWC.

Not so fast.  Dropping Menlo is only cheaper if you want a 7-game D-3 schedule.  But NWC teams would still need 2 or 3 non-conference games.  Menlo has been a good sport about this whole thing.  I'd say keep them around as long as they cooperate and then folks only have to schedule 1 or 2 Saturdays.

Good point, since scheduling another D3 non conference would likely mean a trip to California anyway, if not further. Too bad Eastern Oregon is NAIA and Oregon Tech(if they bring football back) is NAIA, too. Guess this would be a moot point if Menlo decides to bolt on their own to D2 in the future.
What we need is another D3 school in Washington, any possibilities? Is Whitman D3 in other sports?

Whitman is in this conference in other sports.

Exactly.

I say help Menlo in every way to raise their whole College where they are most comfortable in Division III.

I actually agree but I don't know if that's going to happen.  I've heard other things about Menlo's future but I'm at a point where I have no idea what they're going to do or what to believe.

The only thing that I'm a little unsure on is why is GFU making the announcement for football to start in 2013.  3 years is a pretty dang long time to wait for their return.    Why not 2012?

Pat Coleman

Maybe they don't know what a normal timeline is.

Could also be dependent on getting their facility built.
