Some Pacific students are crying about football coming back to campus: Football Too Costly & Students Come First.

Also Pacific will be installing an all black field turf (4/1): Pacific to play on black turf

Anybody else catch the "East Western State" mention at the end of the turf article?  CapitalOne has been running a series of ads on the "Ivan Brothers" (i.e. vikings who play college basketball) throughout March Madness.  The commercials, which featured a fictional school named "West Eastern State," were filmed at Pacific.

1992 vs 2009

1992 27
2009 24

1992 was much more stacked talent wise. But 2009 brought it together more as a group with less talent. 2009 played better under pressure and all the long road trips they took really toughened them up. In the Championship in 1992...both Sells and McGarvie played sub par. In fact I remember we kind of went off our regular game plan with McGarvie not getting a lot of touches. But the 2009 team stalled in the 2nd half vs. Whitewater as well......maybe it's more even than I'm thinking.

Maybe Wildcat11 can provide us with a video collage of the 2 teams and we can see for ourselves.

FYI:
I just finished watching a documentary film titled : Harvard Beats Yale 29-29.
What a great film. The game was played in 1968 the film was released in 2008, so I'm late to the party, but I recommend it to all of you who have not seen it. It reminded me why I love college football.

Also, when did the NCAA institute the overtime rule?

I agree.  You forgot to mention it "stars" Tommy Lee Jones, Meryl Streep, and George W. Bush in a cameo appearance leading Yale cheers. :)

Thanks Pat. I was wondering why the game ended in a tie.

Wasn't he awarded NWC Coach of the year?

Menlo...wow! the timing on that second TD by Avritt!!

Of course no disrespect to any other roster 'CAT, but I have a favorite player going into 2010.  I think Eric Heidin is hilarious to watch...and listen to.

Nice editing touch at the end of that clip '11.
