Don't fret about them. They can always hold their face masks up staying close to LINFIELD.

But, YOU, have to beat us twice in the same season now, wouldn't you say?

Wow, never thought about that. If we lose, and then win out like last year... we will play you first round in Oregon (assuming Linfield returns as the superpower you finished as last year)....

If we win, we will still likely play you first round, either at home or again at your place depending on how it plays out....

Interesting. I guess the only greatest chance we have of NOT playing you guys twice is if Willamette comes out and beats you this year....

At the same time, you have to beat us twice in the same season... Lets go!

Kingsmen4, I think you took what I said the wrong way.  I don't blame CLU at all for wanting the exposure that playing Linfield provides.  But Willamette is the only NWC program that doesn't have a SCIAC team on their schedule this year.  Most have two.

Whitworth: @ PP, @ Redlands
PLU: @ CLU
L&C: @ CMS, vs. PP
UPS: @ Oxy, vs. Whittier
Pacific: CMS
Linfield: @ CLU, @ La Verne

I know for a fact that this isn't for lack of trying on the Bearcats' part, so it's a little frustrating.  It'll be even more frustrating if we get left out of the playoffs with a 7-3 (or even 8-2) record.  BUT ... this Willamette team has been given an opportunity to create a very, very special season, and that's pretty damn exciting to be sure.

It's a brutal schedule.  According to some very well-informed people who know things, we're running into the same difficulty Linfield had for a number of years - the SCIAC won't play us anymore.  Additionally, our two year deal with Concordia-Moorhead was up, and I honestly don't think either side was terribly anxious to renew it.  Which leaves us with @ UWSP, @ HSU, and vs. Southern Oregon for our non-conference slate.  I would be really disappointed - but not shocked at all - if we were 0-4 to start the season.  If we can come out of it 3-1 though, we're very much in the playoff hunt.*

02Warhawk - I've never seen UWSP play.  From their results, it looks like they're a team that plays a "grind it out" kind of game.  Can you enlighten us any?

*Of course, if we're 1-3 but that win is over Linfield, we'll be in the playoff hunt too ... and I'd be okay with that.

UWSP - at least in the past - is a pass-first team.  Mix in the run occasionally to keep D honest.  Big play capability (Jenkins-WR).  Pretty solid on defense - had very good numbers holding running games down.  Decent or better against the pass, too.

They had a lot of seniors starting on D last year - they do have to overcome that.  QB was listed as a senior in 09, too, but was a transfer a while back so the eligibility can be a little murky on those.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

UWSP does have a new offensive coordinator (Aaron Vicko) who was hired last month from the D2 ranks. Might have to have a wait and see approach to see what kind of changes to the Pointer attack might be in store.

Any Suggestions on how to go bout changing the eyes on my tatoo? ::) I never had Linfield put below it but sure would be nice. I've gotton plenty of compliments only problem is alot of people have no idea what it is. :(

I think it would be great ADvertisement for the college. Now how do I go about getting them or T.H.
to pay for it?

Bloomberg Businessweek just put out a report on the top 20 colleges in the country with high tuition with a low return on investment and a NWC school was #1 in the country....which isn't a good thing.

There's only one school from the NWC ... or from the entire Pacific Northwest for that matter.  All I'm saying is that rankings like these are a dime a dozen.

Come on, 11, you know you were just looking for a chance to rip on Willamette. ;D

The SCIAC had one at number 10.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.

No question about that!

Clearly, Bloomberg business comes from a different position than The Princeton Review.
ROI is emperical where-as value (can) be subjective.
