S'OK.......we'll be throwing like mad on September 11th anyway.

....and, oh boy!

I certainly don't want to throw the hex on anything by noticing good stuff, but...
the Wildcats recruiting seems to have hit an outstanding high mark.  Losing good guys is
tough to deal with.  It's tougher when we get to know them; not only as student athletes, but as fine young men on any day.  The good part for those of us that don't graduate and go away is that we enjoy being able to welcome in a new class of the same cut...(we hope).
As always: "The Mettles in the Men!"
On and off the field..."Go Cats"
"THE METTLE'S IN THE MEN!"

At first I thought it read Milwaukee rather than Milwaukie and I thought how the hell did they get a kicker right out of our backyard.  Then I noticed it read class 6A and we don't have any class like that in Wisconsin.

It appears as though Mrs. Warthog and I are going to be in Oregon on October 2nd for Linfield's home opener against Willamette.  Is there an outside chance I'll be able to find a tailgate event near the Catdome?

I'm on a bit of a posting hiatus, dealing with a pair (!) of broken wrists, but, in the fine tradition of Linfield people and Willamette people living and working in harmony, I give you this:

Yeah, the fly sweep has been a good weapon for OSU over the past couple of years.

In fact, one of my favorite little moments of Linfield/Willamette games over the past 15 years (that I've been watching) is when Linfield busted out the fly sweep vs Willamette on the 2nd play of the 2nd half for a 50 yard TD romp.  That was a fun moment.

Hope you're feeling better B-Press.

2010 LINFIELD Defense Preview....the kinder, gentler WILDCAT NATION almost feels sorry for Whitworth after watching those clips. Hope those Qbs were able to come back to health.

Unfortunately, both injuries were career-ending.

At least your injuries aren't career ending. What happen? Did a couple of Luca Brasi types (Godfather reference for those of you too young to understand) pay you a visit for writing the wrong thing? Get Well!
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

SATURDAY!
Chomping the bit.
'CATS back in SoCal!
Bye.
Back again!

I'm starting to mull over the games I got to see last year to hone my fanabilities:

Hardin Simmons

Occidental

University of Mary Hardin Baylor

University of Wisconsin, Whitewater

(and then the ones on TV)

I'll try to make this game as well.  I think it will pretty much decide the NWC runner-up this fall (behind PLU).  Curious to see if the winner snags a Pool C bid.

Runner up?  No way!  I figure I'm there to watch the league championship.
