ADvantage 'Catdome: Around The CatdomeO'sphere

“We feel good that we’ll be able to throw the ball and run the ball,” Tully said.

That is CLASSIC Tully right there.

Tully is the master of saying something but nothing.  However, I had to pour a little of my forty out in remembrance of Coach Willenbrock and his mastery of being ultra-optimistic.

Are there any UPS fans on here? After watching the Cats claw up the Kingsmen, I'm heading over to Eagle Rock and see the Tigers and Loggers.

Hey cawcdad

Just got on for a few minutes before heading home. Yes, I will be at Eagle Rock for the Oxy-UPS game on the 11th. I think I get in early enough from Boise to go over and watch Linfield. Hadn't thought about that, glad I read your post!

Lever Street

Looking forward to a big year for the CATS again!

I sure hope that Boehme will still pull the ball down once per game and scamper 35 yards up the field.  Just doing that once in a while last season openned up the running and passing games for Linfield.

Go CATS!
You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

How true...and fun for us to watch. HOWEVER, just once the previous season in Abilene and it was all over.

idalogger!  Great to see you back on the board.  I'm looking forward to seeing you down at McCulloch this season - we'll do our best to avoid lightning. ;)

For those interested, the Bearcats are safely in Stevens Point.  Hopefully the trip was smoother than last year's to Moorhead.

T-minus 17 hours to kickoff.  Really, really excited for this game.

Thanks D O.C. for letting the folks know I'm still alive and kickin'. Somehow, I got deleted from the system (or blackballed or ???). After several weeks of unsuccessfully following the automated prompts, I begged   D O.C. for help...which he kindly gave. (I called on him because I know how warm and close his relationship has been with with PC over the years.  ;D

Speaking of kickin', Go CATS. Looking forward to seeing the faithful in Thousand Oaks next week (and LaVerne later).

Mrs. OldCat and I were able to spend several weeks in Oregon during July/August and spent a week at Cannon Beach with former-Dean Hansen and his lovely child-bride (that's still Sharron, for any of you who might be worried). Dave and I also checked out a few CatDome practices about 10 days ago.  Da Boys looked impressive.

Can't help but notice the difference in attitude among Cat fans this year. If my Alzheimer-aided memory serves, a lot of folks were worried a year ago that we might start 0-4. Wow, was that off-base!!! This year, howver, there seems to be nary a discouraging word. I suspect that all games will be tough, though,  and the Cats better be ready for each one. Go, you WILEY CATS!!!

While I'm grateful to be back on the Board again, I'm bummed that I lost all my karma and record of prior posts.

Oh well, sometimes, life is just hard.

D O.C. -- loved the reference to George Carter and Jim Massey. I'm proud to be part of the club that saw them play...circa 1970 or so. Speed, however, was only half of Massey's success. The other half was the size that went with it.

You made OldishAZCatProf!
And guts...Jim Massey played in the Bar West Golf classic a couple of years ago with a broken ankle in a cast. Only then, did I challenge him to a race.

Never being satisfied, some year I'd like to start the first Saturday like so many others. But then again, if it ain't broke, don't fiddle with it. Most teams are not playing in December.

Game time! Go Bearcats!

Hmmmm... Zero freshman on the travel squad this week!

Congratulations Bearcats in beating the Pointers today 33-14. I just listened to part of the game but see they started off slowly, got 14 points behind, readjusted and came out smoking from there posting 33 pts to win the game.  Very nice start of the season for you.  Linfield and Willamette have been able to shut them down in the last 3 games our conference has played them.  Very good work.

Congrats Bearcats.  Great win for WU and for the NWC.  Going on the road to beat...excuse me...handle the WIAC's #2 is no joke.  Have fun in Abilene next week.

I think the Bearcats should get an extra day of practice at home this week - they don't fly out to Texas until Friday?
