Since it's a slow day on the board, I thought I'd post this interesting (I think) tidbit that is only marginally related to football.

I was at Costco yesterday looking at PCs when I turned and noticed I was standing next to Fred Goldman (of OJ-murder fame). He's older and grayer but still with that trademark mustache. No one else was around, so I struck up a conversation and he gracioulsy reciprocated.

I expressed my sympathy for what his family had been through and we chatted for a few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised that he finally seems at peace. For so many years, all we saw from Fred Goldman on TV was the (understandable) rage and  bitterness that can eventually consume a person. It appears that has not occurred to Fred and I was happy for him for that small consolation.

I'm just a little dissapointed that it's too far for me to hitch-hike :o

I been looking at the Cal Lu website to see if there is going to be a video

Anybody got more of a clue to help out us stay-behinds???

Many of us, I'm sure, were anticipating the emergence of Pacific back to football after a 19 year snooze.
Well, they roared back (IMHO) at Baker Stadium and did themselves proud in a re-start of football for the Boxers.
I'm really looking forward to this programs "Climbing the ladder" and  getting back to business in the conference.
This is all I could find to read about from the UPS-v-Pacific contest:

Wait - aren't Pacific and UPS both NWC teams?

They are playing each other twice this year and the first game probably did not count as a conference game.

Yes, that was a solid performance by Pacific in their first game back, regardless of how UPS finishes the season. If Pacific turns out to be better than expected, the game versus Lewis & Clark could be interesting. I would think it would be a huge setback for the rebuilding Pioneer program if they somehow lose to the Boxers.
