My car was parked in the shade all game and was only 102.

My take was the game was over at the scheduling. La Verne played well and hard.

About 150 Catbackers in attendance.

LINFIELD has to play a big, tough really, really good Bearcat team (Hey! The LaVerne Bonita High, home of Glenn Davis Stadium, are Bearscats too!).

We have a lot of work to do.

We can afford no turnovers.

This squad has no emotional leader.  I have never seen a team in Cardinal and Purple so flat. A South Forty next week would really help.

Glen Davis showed up at Bonita High School a couple of years before he passed with the Heisman in tow and presented it to the school without ceremony where it now resides

We can afford no turnovers.

6 OTs, Holy SMokes.  Tough loss.

And whitworth only won by 18.  Is this a reflection of Whitworth or the new L&C?

I think Whitworth is not great and L&C has improved quite a bit.

Doubt the film on this one will help our buddies down the road.  Next week should be fun.
At risk of seeming ignorant; is the rule that last game played is what the next opponent sees and(officially by rule) nothing else...?

Not really -- conferences may have rules about exchanging conference games, and about trading video of conference games with teams outside the conference, but there's nothing to prevent teams from soliciting video outside of that from teams outside their conference during the regular season.

Home sweet Home. Just rolled in from L.A. Another quick trip in the book. Good to see you guys. Hey MCat missed you at the game. Hope to see you next time.

I have to agree with the fellow posters about the game. The only thing I would add is yes it was 107 in our car when we left the game. And I am sure the travel doesn't help either. Monday is a new week and I am sure this team will be ready. Our Defense will rise to the occasion and Rocket man will be back with his supporting cast.

See you all Saturday AM. Lets Party and Kick ass.

That's a long day for the PPJ family.
Your boy picked up quite a few yards today.

We're looking forward to seeing you next weekend in much better weather and we'll send the Bearcats crawling back to Salem.

Regardless of outcome I think the key word there is "crawling"

Was up in Tacoma for the UPS-Whittier game. 6 OT, game last 4.5 hours. Both teams played their hearts out. A devastating loss for the Loggers, who missed four field goals, including a 26 yarder to win it in overtime, and turned the ball over 5 times, once on an interception at the 1 on 3rd down in ot.

However, the UPS defense played well, even considering the score, stopping the Poets deep in Logger territory numerous times. Tillman, the Whittier back, is very skilled, and ran for over 200 yards.

Next up for the Loggers is PLU on Saturday. The Lutes look tough, and as D-train has noted "Could be awhile before we (PLU) have evidence if that (win over Cal LU) was something of a fluke or not.  They are off this week and play UPS in two weeks." Hopefully the Loggers can rebound and give PLU a game.

Sounds like it could be one of those Battle Royals from the days of old up in the Sound! Good luck to both teams! Should be a barn burner......
