Tuxguy

Just stopped by to thank all those who left condolences on my Fathers passing.
He touched many lives during his time at Linfield and we were blessed to hear many stories at his Memorial service.

I actually thought about taking my radio with my ear piece into the service. Dad would have understood, but it was only UPS and I knew the Cats would have the game in hand early. Besides I forgot it at home. ;D

Any way It's Homecoming week, and a Congrats goes out to Bluenote and Beancounter on the up coming 30th Reunion. You both look like you just graduated last year.

GO CATS
ONE GAME AT A TIME!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

BCC...not that you would care to go back to last Saturday's NWC update board where we chat about the game we usually are not at, yours truly was wondering where the heck the WU A-A linebacker was. I cannot say he was confused because I was not there, so I will venture the game plan neutralized him.

DOC, the WU A-A 'backer tied for the team lead in tackles and also forced the fumble that gave us our only score. In the midst of a pretty crappy day, Ralph was his usual excellent self.

I would venture to say the LU gameplan neutralized our D-line. Take out a strong performance by Walter Robinson and the WU starting D-line accumulated 1 tackle, while getting zilch for pressure on Boehme. With a lack of pressure on Boehme, we were screwed.

Rough game for the Bearcats overall.

Yep, I'm pretty sure we ALL agree on that one.    It was a Baaaaad day for the Bearcats!  But, we've moved on.   Has anyone else noticed that the only undefeated team in the NWC is PLU??  So, it seems PL-WHO is who you need to be concerned with.   And, maybe, just maybe, you'll be cheering for the Bearcats when they play PL- Who?  Depends on other games outcomes . . .

Looking forward to Saturday for another football game.   At least it's at WU where we can SEE the game.  I hate those bleachers where you're behind & below the team, cheerleaders & whoever else is in the way.   I know people don't like that everyone is on the same side of the field at WU, but I like the raised seats, the covering and the crowd.

Unless there is a fund raising project going on, who ever heard of a tip jar or a cash box at a tailgate event?  ???

That must be a Minnesota thing.  Iowans and Oregonians seem to more of the come one - come all type of tailgaters. 8-)

I am a team first guy and realize that individual accolades can sometimes be relatively unimportant BUT.....I just want to say heckuva job by the L&C LB Sat against Menlo this past Sat. He didn't get Def POW but he had 13 total tackles (9 solo), 3TFL, 1 FF, 1 sack, 1 pass deflection and numerous hurries on the QB.   Great Job to # 57 Baltazar and the rest of the PIO D!

Wildcat One is all gassed up and headed for Homecoming....looking forward to see all you posters this weekend.

GO CATS!!

CatDad,
I didn't know your boy was so multi-talented.

Tuxguy, please check your PMs.

Warty,
I'm glad you made it back to Iowa safely. I'm looking for Wartburg to handle Coe this Saturday and move into the Top 25. That's overdue, IMO.

No thanks, we just had an over after the first quarter blowout. I'd take a down to the wire nailbiter any time over getting pounded. Guess we'll see. Have never been to McCullouch before. Looking forward to it. Unbelievable - it is supposed to be great weather Saturday.

Willamette has a pretty sweet atmosphere best of luck and keep us updated on how it goes, I'll be listening in. Loggers need to get back in the Win column, the Pios are already at 3...(congrats on that BTW)

Hang onto that one River it will keep you warm at night.  Linfield has beatdown Willamette so often over the past ten years I'm not even sure which game I should reference.
