it is nice to see Lewis and Clark doing better. What are everyone's thoughts on the game? I think it's going to be a good match up, but I'm biased to thinking that UPS might right the ship and take this one somewhat handily, but i'll take a closer win.

I'll be curious to see how L&C does if it comes down to a close game, UPS has had a few this season so my hope is that they'll use that experience to their advantage if it's a closer game than hoped. Also UPS has shown an ability to play with some of the better teams in the conference (PLU and Willamette) at least for large portions of the game.

What are everyone's take/break down on this one?

I saw a lot of people taking UPS in the Pick'em, but wanted to get some more in depth breakdown.

I'm calling for a L&C double digit win.  I'm not sure why people are calling for a UPS win...they're horrible.  I could be wrong but I think that L&C has much better offensive weapons than UPS and the loggers porous run defense will be their demise.

Congrats to your Pioneers Piobark. They even garnered some television time.  Check it out:  http://www.kgw.com/sports/college/Coaching-football-at-Lewis--Clark-a-family-affair-104461599.html

GO CATS!

With Pacific and then George Fox renewing their programs, the Lemon's still have a few more Oregon schools to coach at.

Any relation to the Lemons that played at Linfield then Willamette? What happened to those guys?

Mikey Lemon still plays for Willamette.  Bubba Lemon helps coach football.   Nice kids.

As for UPS/L&C -- I haven't seen L&C play this year, but UPS looked pretty good at Willamette, especially in the 1st half.  Could go either way, but I went with the home team.

Barring a total collapse

After travelling to UPS this weekend, the Pio's end with PLU, Willamette, and Linfield.

I should have been more clear - I was talking about next year.  If they can't sustain the success, then they're back on life support.

QuoteWhitworth (3-2) over at Pacific Lutheran (3-0) (at PLU):  Wow.  I've gone back and forth for a few days on this game. PLU is the favorite for the unblemished record and beating top 25 CLU but I picked the Rats to finish 3rd in the NWC this season and I'm sticking to my guns here.  I REALLY like the Rats defense this year.

Nice cherry pick BCP...almost as good as you picking Linfield to finish 3rd in the NWC last year with a 6-3 record.  ;)  BTW, thanks for the continued reading of the blog.  I know it's a daily stop for you!  :)

So....What,,,,193rd for LINFIELD on the front page Strength Of Schedule? Keep trying to schedule a perennial worthy opponent for a 10th game AND replace Menlo with the same?

Seems like Mary Hardin Baylor doesn't mind traveling to Oregon--perhaps they'd like to do so and play a D3 team.....there's #1 who has the other one?
Go Cats!

How about St. Johns? Oh...that wouldn't help the SOS.

Silly me, it begins at home. We have to HOPE the NWC gets better against their opponents.

Nobody will want to play the Ducks in the future.  Try them.

I'm sorry for bringing up NCAA non-tool SOS in the middle of Lute Week.
