How many points do you think your defense will "TCB" or hold L&C to?

Not enough to beat Linfield......

You guys are true vets!  I was referring to Gigs comment but it was a serious question.

I think L&C will likely put some points but as has been their problem all year their D will not come close to stopping the Cats offense.
Go Cats!

Even though the regular season is just a bit over the halfway point for them, Linfield has the inside track on getting the NWC's playoff slot, and may be looking ahead a bit and will probably try to keep their regulars healthy and give their reserves more playing time.  Although unlikely, any one of the next three may be a trap game for them, esp. L&C.  So if the Pios keep improving, who knows.

Wildcat'64

I have to feel just a bit sorry for L&C next week as you can bet that PLU will want to prove a point to the pollsters and take no mercy on the Pios after losing to the Cats.  The next week won't get any easier as the Bear Kitties will be tuning up their skills awaiting the final game with the Lutes.  This looks to be a brutal couple of weeks for the 'new Pios'....glad to see them back and competing but their final 3 week schedule has to be the most challenging of any NWC team.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Lever Street

CAT victory over PLU was sweet.  But time for celebrating is over.  The only thing that matters now is Menlo this Saturday.

Go Linfield!
You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

I agree with you in spirit..but really, with Menlo bailing on the NWC this game matters very little....other than it's another week to improve the team, iron out some kinks, and play our game....
Go Cats!

Las Vegas Wildcards

Watching the NBC game tonight with the Packers hosting Minnesota, I think Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy has a connection with Linfield College. If I'm not mistaken, McCarthy was a tight end for Baker College in 1986, and may have seen action against the Wildcats in the NAIA title game that season.

True about the NWC impact but the remaining three games are huge for potential playoff seating and continuing the team's momentum.  We've had issues with Menlo in the past so the 'Cats will need to be sharp coming off a big win in Tacoma.

Does a win or loss against a non D3 opponent have any impact on seedings???  Does anything really have an impact besides the fact that we're stuck on the West Coast???? :)

Technically I don't believe a non D3 opponent will have an impact but these are humans we're talking about and overall record has weigh into the committees mind at some level, IMO.  On top of that, Menlo is a team that has lost to PLU, L&C, Whitworth, and Willamette so I don't think it would look great if the 'Cats dropped one to them.

Obviously a loss to the Oaks would be bad on multiple fronts....but not as bad as losing the last 2 games of the year would be. (I'm not worried).

I can't be too upset at the offense, i wish we could have run the ball a bit more than -1 yards, or whatever the final stat line was, but oh well, for the QB to toss for over 600 yards and 8 touchdowns and not a single int is amazing. L&C looks to have a legit offense, sad to say neither team appears to have a defense though. Hopefully UPS can pick off whitworth at the end of the season, because it would be awful to see these guys play so many gut wrencing games and only come out with 2 wins both against Pacific.

I was reading an article recently concerning UConns move to FBS in football and was thinking of what kind of impact or benefit the NWC would have in moving from d3 to d1-AA, just a theoretical discuss as I doubt it would be too beneficial unless they went all the way to FBS, but hasn't everyone thought how great it would be to see some of our teams playing for a national title in front of 70k+ fans and millions on tv, taking home $10mm in BSC revenue?

Don't get all real on me with how much it would cost or how unfeasable it would be against the mission statements of the school and their commitment to the Student-Athlete, but just go ahead and dream with me.
