Just went through on a Karma run, giving Karma to all my Linfield friends!!  The Cats are doing great and I hope they win out!!We won yesterday, but didn't look good.  If we play like that next week, Randolph Macon will eat us for lunch!!  But I'm hoping BC pue all of the phases together for a great game!! AFter 2 1/2 weeks with bronchitis, I, at least, got to see this game against Emory & Henry whose coach came from Mount Union!!  My best to all you at the CATDOME.  It's Rat skinning Time  Let's get it done!!! :) :) :)

Congrats Cats on another great win!  And congrats to all you PLU fans, it looks like the Lutes are back!

The Pio's are back.

D-Train,

From the results so far of this season and listening to the PLU/L&C game it seems that L&C has a star that will be around for awhile in their QB Welch.  He's going to be a major pain for the remainder of his time at L&C.  It sounded like PLU missed their chances in the 1st to build a lead and that L&C missed their chances in the 2nd to pull out a win.  Good game.

Willamette and Linfield better be sharp or L&C is going to give them a game. (No way I would have thought I would have typed this at the beginning of the season).

That's a pretty fair assessment. In same ways, the Pio's are a one player team. But their staff uses him very well and the supporting cast is leaps and bounds better than in previous years.

Seriously though, the L&C website says he played 3 of 9 games last year.  Maybe we won't have to chase him around for as long as we thought?

Speedy. he is a Freshman eligibility wise.      Dtrain, "a one man team"?  Welch might be the best player in the NWC but LC is not a one man team by any means.

Medical redshirt.  He started L&C's first three games last year before getting hurt against ... PLU.

So really, it's your guys' fault that he's still a freshman. :)

piodad - don't take what d-train is saying the wrong way.  He also talked about how much better the rest of the team is than in years past.  I think we can all agree that without Welch, the Pioneers are not a four-win team.  He's the player who's helping give L&C that last shove they need to get over the hump.  But you're right - without the help of guys like Mayes, Keller, and a much-improved offensive line, the Pioneers wouldn't be a four-win team either.

I'm excited to see the Pios in person this coming Saturday.

I'm even more excited about keeping the Wagon Wheel for another year. ;D

Does anyone know do you apply for a medical redshirt immediately following the year you want to have not count or do you wait till your fifth year and then apply?

For your reading pleasure, anyone want to read the rules and figure out the tie breaker for a five-way, 4-2 tie.

Linfield (Whitworth, L&C) 4-0(4-1)(4-2)   lose,lose
Pacific Lutheran (Pacific, Willamette) 3-1(4-1)(4-2) win, lose
Willamette (L&C, PLU) 3-1(3-2)(4-2) lose,win
Lewis and Clark (Willamette, Linfield) 2-2(3-2)(4-2) win,win

Now that you mention it, I played very few plays my senior year due to a torn ACL.
