Your shoe bomb fits as well, since I am recently unemployed and desperately seeking a new identity....I think I will start claiming to be 38 instead of 58.  Yep, that'll do it.  I'll let you all know how the next dream turnouts.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

BTW, I did dream two nights before the 2004 Stagg Bowl that the Cats were going to win.....

A ha! I downloaded your picture and it is track season and there ARE NO port-a-potties.

I had looked at the newest photo I have, they are there.

This whole topic is really weird to me.   I guess I thought players took care of those things before the game, at half-time, etc.  It doesn't surprise me that the WU announcers saw fit to mention it.   They're not mean, they just say weird things sometimes.

Just to avoid confusion, this incident was not something that I learned about from Mike & Craig.  As far as I know, the only thing they commented on was the national anthem.  This was something that I saw myself from the press box while I was in the process of eating an until-then-delicious roast beef sandwich.

I do love Bob Castle, though.  And I miss Daryl Aune, if only because NWC broadcasting now lacks the phrase "Holy jumpin' up and down Martha!"

I've solved your problem, Criswyly.  In your dreamlike state you were mistaken in thinking you were across the street from Linfield.  Not so!  You were just channeling your Linfield aura.   You were actually across the street from Willamette at the Oregon State Capitol!  It's an easy mistake to make (when one is not fully functioning).  It's OK, though, as the class you imagined was really a legislative hearing about whether to place porta potties in the outer aisles of the House and Senate chambers.

Reflecting on the Williiiiamette experience including the excuse making posters here, I wish the players had taken a dump instead of peeing.  Wiliiiiiamette has the reputation they deserve.
piousdad, which reputation would that be???  The one where they field competitive teams for many years running, or the one for having a coach who recognized as being innovative and finished in the top 5 for Coach of the Year in '08.

p.s. I hope we kick their a$$ this week, but not cause I have any disdain or dislike of Willamette.  I'd just like my Lutes to have a shot at the playoffs.

FightBearcats

BCP, I was looking at the Strength of Schedule rankings and noticed that Willamette is listed as having two in-region losses.  But Hardin Simmons is in the South region, not West.  So, shouldn't we have just one in-region loss?

Love to see the 'Cats with an AQ. Way to go Linfield!

Would love to see you guys come to Iowa to play -- if you make the trip, I'll be there in Linfield gear. :)

Dutchie, I'm hurt.

I have a lot of really good friends in McMinnville.  ;)

Come on -- it's not like I have any Wartburg gear in my closet....

My playoff loyalty goes something like this: Central, then Linfield, then the IIAC rep (if it's not Central), then anyone playing SJU.  ;D

You need to come back for a visit, Dutchie.

I think the ones at Linfield are behind the visitor stands, which means the player would need to leave the field.   Does that really happen?  This whole topic is really weird to me.   I guess I thought players took care of those things before the game, at half-time, etc.  It doesn't surprise me that the WU announcers saw fit to mention it.   They're not mean, they just say weird things sometimes.    I prefer the broadcasting style of Bob Castle, myself.   When WU played at Whitworth that's who I listened to.

And PioDad, L&C football is getting much better.  I even saw glimpses of it last year.   So far, only one team in the NWC has beat WU and that's Linfield.  Let me know how that game goes for you.  Take care and good luck with the Wildcats.

The are not needed as we usually kick the crap out the visiters at the CATDOME !!

Had to do it, it was way too easy .

GHC out

Oh yea and for piodad-- somewhere during my sons career at Linfield I asked him about the big score they had laid on someone, he looked at me and said simply that players on both sides know that they need to D up,  thats all.
So as parents we just need to let the players take care of their business--thats all !!

D up or go home

And now (in my book) you have the reputation you deserve. What's your excuse?

Word, BearcatFan. He who points the finger ultimately looks the fool. The definitive inability to spell the name of a school and river that goes RIGHT THROUGH YOUR TOWN also looks quite silly. If you want to discuss football, we welcome the LC point of view. If you're coming here to berate the coaches and players on a personal level (Which I may add is no different than what you got angry about in the first place) you are then not only a hypocrite, you are then also Not welcome on this board

From an adult no less, this is a blatant act of immaturity that I'm very disappointed to see.

17 posts and this person is running the frickin board--someone call Pat !!!  Let him know there is a mini-guru in town !!

All right, GHC.  I know quality when I see it.  ;D +K.

If Wartburg gear is all you need to get on the bandwagon, come see me. I've got tons of stuff that I might not need after December. Of course we'll need to take them in to fitr a cheerleader's figure. ;)
