Yeah...what player does one need for the video stream?
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

I'm a few days late in giving a huge congrats to the Cats for the win on Saturday. What an outstanding performance!

PPJ, you told me at the tailgate that you hadn't been feeding your boy gunpowder, but I'm not so sure. Or maybe you were giving him TNT instead, because he was on fire! Man, he gutted out a couple extra yards so many times. I think that was the best game I've seen him play.

Hedin was a monster. Doesn't it just warm your heart to see these kids perform like they did? It's a thing of beauty, especially Boehme. All of them! They were a well-oiled machine on both sides of the ball. Good job by the coaches.

The trip to Minnesota will be like going to the tropics, with the weather we're having now. The Tommies have that big back Wartman and the smaller WR with the German name that I can't remember right now, but my money is on our D. If we play like we did on Saturday, nothing can stop us.

I thought the CLU fans were very gracious.

Two words:  THE STREAK

It should be a whale of a game...I remember that UST was able to get at Boehme in the 2nd half and nobody was able to do that the whole 09 season.  If both teams bring their A game it should make for an epic match-up.  Looking forward to freezing my booty off.

I have no doubt that Linfield and St. Thomas are both top 6 teams this year.  Solid arguments could be made for top 4 in terms of just who are the best teams (meaning I know Linfield wouldn't be actually ranked that high with a loss).

They are quarterfinal teams at a minimum. However, the stacked west has one team eliminated on Saturday. Of the remaining 14 teams in the field (not including each other), I think either team would be a solid favorite over 10 of them.

In one sense, it's too bad this matchup didn't occur a week later. In another sense, what a great game all of you have to look forward to!  ;D  These games are part of the real fun of D3 football and the playoff system.

Either way, every player and coach from each team should walk off the field really proud of what they accomplished this year and knowing they were part of a great team.

Nothing against the Tommies, but go Cats!  ;)

Sub-zero windchills in St. Paul this morning.  Here's hoping for a warm-up by the weekend!

I wouldn't bet on that, Coco.  ;)  As we say in MN, this is ice-making weather.

BREAKING NEWS:

All-world WR Ray Grant has decided to transfer to UST and in an unusual move by the NCAA, has been ruled eligible for this weekend's game against Linfield.

Hamline has cried foul play with claims of tampering and illegal contact by Glenn Caruso, but Grant has maintained this decision was all his own. He felt he was underutilized in the Hamline offense and felt there was an obvious opportunity to start right away for UST.

This definitely bodes well for UST on Saturday. Adding the impressive resume of RG will only make the Tommies passing offense that much more potent. Also look for RG to line up in a tight slot position so as to chip block on Hedin. RG's combination of size, speed and strength may be enough to neutralize the star DE's pass rush. The real question is, will Fritz Waldvogel still be the #1 WR now that a player of RG's caliber, experience and maturity has been added to the offense. We'll see on Saturday...

I'm a bit late getting on here myself.  Congrats to the freaking Cats!!! Wow!!! I was sitting in the Denver terminal cussing that I couldn't get the video upstreaming, but I was able to get the audio up and streaming and listen to the last 5 minutes of the first half and the first 5 minutes of the second.  Just enough to hear the Cats take care of business.  I'm so fricken proud of the Cats!  Great job!!
I can't wait for this weekend, but will once again be traveling and am hoping that I will be able to stream part of the game.  Good luck this week Cats and Happy Thanksgiving to all you posters out there!

Seems to me that that Linfield Cat found in SoCal is retreating as far from Minnesota as it can get... :D

Well...headed to the sporting goods store today to get some of those hand warms pouches you slip into your gloves.  I do pretty well in the freezing a$$ cold except for my finger tips...I know it wasn't "that" cold at UWW last year but my fingers were screaming at me during the whole game.  Besides sticking your hands down your pants (which I know some of you recommend if it's warm or cold) do any of you vets of cold weather have any tips?

Yes, the past couple of years have been a challenge for many of us, to say the least.   Yet, with good health, family, friends and D3 football, money issues become far less important.

I wish all of you a blessed and very happy Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season.

Wool socks and boots.  Don't fool yourself into thinking that shoes will keep your feet warm.  Keep your hands dry.  Those cheap, chemical handwarmers do wonders.  Throw some in your pockets.  Also, the make them with adhesive that you can stick to the toe portion of your socks.  They don't feel all that warm, but they do wonders in keeping your feet from getting cold.  Other than that, layers are your friend.

Bring a scarf to keep your lips, nose and cheeks warm if it gets windy.

I've got a bottle of Surly Darkness in my fridge, but you'd have to pry it from my cold, dead hands.
