Interesting comments from all.....seems like there were other teams during the year that ran and passed fairly well vs UWWW? Or did they stuff everybody they played like they did vs. Mount? Or ?

Nice work by Whitewater to bottle them up like that.......

If that what it says, it couldn't be more wrong. Jeremy Murray had 9 carries for a gain of 26 yards, lost 1 for a net of 25 (2.7 avg). His long was 15 yards which was the 2nd play of the game.  He did have a 1 yard TD which followed Lambert Budzinski's INT and was the 2nd of the 3 TD's during that 4 minute stretch of the 2nd quarter. Mount as a team did have 45 net yards on 26 carries (1.7 avg).

Game story and box score. We didn't say he ran for a touchdown, no.

Nobody ran very well against us.  The only team to gain over 100 yards in a game was River Falls who rushed for 112 net yards.  However it took 40 rushing attempts to do it so the average rush was 2.8 yards.  The highest average per rush was accomplished by Trine at 2.96 yards on 33 carries (98 yards).  North Central averaged 2.6 yards on 38 carries (98 yards).

Mount Union did pass for 323 yards in 51 attempts which was the second most yardage (to Franklin's 373 on 72 pass attempts) we'd surrendered all season.  That doesn't seem all that bad of passing attack though admittedly it took quite a few passes to achieve it.  But Franklin with a Gagliardi finalist at quarterback was only good for 50 yards more on 21 additional attempts.

Sorry about that.  d3.com's stats were right.  I mistakenly read Murray's 25 yds rushing to lead Mount as a 25 yd touchdown run.  Since I was listening to the game, I should've known better.

I second that.

If you lived in McMinnville you'd see him riding around town on a BMX wearing his GREMLIN tee shirt or sweatshirt (Twilight Zone gremlin depicted).
I haven't figured out the little crimson and purple beanie with the propeller though.
