Not being a Linfield fan I would hate to see purple turf, unless of course the alums all hated it too...then I just need to know where to send the check  ;D

I noticed Eastern Washington will be playing for the FCS national title this Friday,
Thanks for the heads up on the FCS game.  That should rank high on my watchometer for tonight if it's televised.  Not really a Eastern fan, but they are in the neighborhood so why not?!

If you're (anyone) having trouble elsewhere, I invite a migration to the diamond.

I will send 20 bucks to 509 Rat if the Red Turf is not mentioned once during the game.

That Eastern Washington game was really fun to watch.  I only caught the second half when they were down 0 - 19.
They are now 11 - 0.

Kingsmen4 owes me at least $5...no mention of the red turf until the last 20 seconds of the game and only one clip of it only because they showed one of their playoff wins against ND State. No special feature about the turf.

You have to be recruited by the big boys to understand how it works. Plus, the red turf was mostly a ploy by Roos to get more alumni involvement/donations into the athletic dept. By winning tonight Eastern did more for their program than colored turf could ever do. Same with Boise. But maybe Cal Lu could change their turf color and finally get out of the first round of the playoffs.

Yeah. Come join us on the basketball boards. We need some more input outside of the Whitworth folks.

Just ventured on the NWC hoops board yesterday to have a little fun...don't think I'll be doing that again.   ::)
I thought it (your NWC basketball post) was ironic in light of the Men's Basketball Survivor Pool was discussing the Crown MN men's win over St Johns.   :o

It was Macalester that beat St. John's, though.

Easy to see how Ralph made the error - the Macalester win gave Crown (i.e., me ;D) the 'win' in the winless pool.

Congrats to the Eagles, is that the first football national title for the directional Washington schools?

This has been a lackluster bowl season overall, hopefully, we'll get a great one this Monday.

LINFIELD fans, if you have not discovered this WILDCATVILLE blog, it might help you get through the winter.

I was never recruited by the "big boys", but I have a pretty good idea how it works - we have had a few D1 players over the years I would say, ask the Ducks.

I would have loved to burn the D1 DB's at Whitworth though, film always looked weak so it would have been fun to experience it first hand.

No doubt that a championship is a stronger recruiting tool than a red feild. I mean after all - they will be the team with the red field that won it all now...  :D ;D :D
