Personally, I would have bolted after I knew CLU was going to be the next "one and done" to come up North.

I don't blame WC11 for taking awhile to post the St. Thomas game. It takes a little longer to put together highlight videos when your team loses. Why do you think the clips from the '07 season took so long...and '08, and '09?

Of course, I'm kidding. I do think you should make a Bubba Lemmon highlight video, BP Press could contribute!

Oh no..The highlights for those games are all done (have been for weeks)...I just like to post them out one at a time during the spring/summer so you have something to look forward to each Monday.  :)

I do love the fact that BP now has to use other team's wins over Linfield to zing me since Willamette's glory season seemed like so long ago.   ;)

...noticed I ignored the last part of your post (509)

Was that clip only 5 months ago? Seems like so much longer.

Rats posted up 2011 schedule.  HSU has been replaced with Chapman.  Redlands and Menlo are still on the Rats slate this year.

Whitworth has a very favorable schedule also..... 6 home games and 4 away....  :o

The last 2 years Linfield has had 4 home and 5 away......  :'(

Speaking of corporate decisions DOC, here's to hoping Linfield makes the Nike Alpha Talons the official cleat of the Cats football team.

If you can't beat 'em, give 'em crappy equipment and hope they slip!

Hopefully the can replace Menlo in 2012 and get a home game to prevent the 3 straight Cali flights...Otherwise 2012 is gonna be brutal. Just keep PP on the schedule or start a series with CMS so that the Disneyland day is still a go (used to be the La Verne trip and Redlands before that).

D O.C.

509 you got + K from me on the Kleats.

Just a questions that came up in my mind.

Cal Lutheran ran out in about 20 minutes after the Linfield game in September and post up their highlights on YouTube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8FKZBfrsnU

But after Linfield spanked CLU in the first round I'm still waiting on CLU to post up that clip too....but nothing.  What gives?

I can only guess it was a minor overlook ... I'm sure it will be up soon....

Its obvious you are a bit upset with your alma mater and I don't blame you at all ... to have two solid conference championship seasons then fizzle out is a tough pill to swallow, so you are going at CLU with your anger and hoping they follow suit...

How about this ... we will go double or nothing ... if CLU has two back to back seasons of 5-5 in which they also lose to Redlands, I will send you two crispy $20 bills.

Good luck with that one!   :D :D :D

You, or anyone one else in the SCIAC, should probably focus on winning a playoff game first. I have nothing against Cal Lu, you guys are simply the newest generation of sacrificial lambs. Ask Oxybob if I made fun of Cal Lu in 2006. No, because you were irrelevant.

In a year or two it will be Redlands, or maybe Occidental will right the ship...I heard Cal Tech is starting a football program so who knows.

I take pride in having played mutliple sports in a conference that regularly beat up on the SCIAC in every men's sport I can think of, that's all... :D

You better hope its not Redlands in a year or two, or you will be nearing a decade of straight losses...  ;D

I don't forsee Cal Lu going anywhere. I HOPE that Oxy will get back to where they were so the rivalry can spark back up, and I HOPE that Redlands will focus more on football than on bicep curls, but again I have no control over that.

Beating up the SCIAC is nothing to pump your chest about, just like the NWC there are a few strong teams and more weak ones ...

Even in 2006 when we were "irrelevant" we beat the 2 NWC schools that we played...

OxyBob would probably wonder where you have been since 2006 anyways, I guess its hard to hit a target that you can't see huh???

:D :D :D

Here's a good review and video of the Tommies-Wildcat game that was a story of missed opportunities on both sides.

D3football.com did a very cool feature today.  Their 2000 All-Decade team.

NWC reps
1st Team
Michael Allen - TE - Whitworth

2nd Team
Brett Elliott - QB - Linfield

3rd Team
Casey Allen - WR - Linfield

4th Team
Chad Johnson - QB - PLU
Brandon Bennett - OL - Willamette
Scott Birkhoffer - K - Linfield

Congrats to those NWC greats for making the elite of the elite list.

Now my beefs: No way should Elliott be the 2nd team QB.  The guy was the best QB in DIII over the past 10 years....IMO.  Also, I don't know how Daryl Agpalsa (Linfield OG 1999-2002) doesn't make that list.  Daryl was a 1st team All-American on 4 different teams in 2002 (1st team pre-season All-American by D3.com that year) and just dominated during his time at Linfield.  He deserved to be on the list.

MacQuiz

I wish I'd been sooner to the post after the 10 year list was up.

Here's what I would have posted:

And the D3 Jeopardy round answer is:

"Because he only played two years in the division".
"THE METTLE'S IN THE MEN!"
