Another former Rat submitted your link to Sports Illustrated's Hot Clicks blog...and it was featured this morning.

Very cool!  Thank you to that Rat for tipping them off.  I took a look at the site numbers and I was wondering why the blog was blowing up this morning.  +K to them!
This is awesome, 11!  Congrats!

We, Chicagoans, are busy hunkering down in preparation for the, "biggest snow storm in the last 40 years," or what UW-W fans like to call, "good tailgating weather."   ;) ;D  Hope all is well on the west coast.

Darn...I wish the Willamette Hardin-Simmons game was on the 17th.....Looks like a pretty good schedule for fans this year to catch games around the NWC....last year sucked!
Ya but....you and I were both in attendance at the WU-v-SOU game.
I saw you you sittin above me with your arms crossed and eyes closed.
Must have been nap time or half time...don't know which. ;D

One of the 2 or both!    ::)

Thanks 413!

BTW, Linfield All-American Offensive Tackle Aaron Heston is in St. George Utah this week practicing for the upcoming Dixie Grid Iron Classic.  This D1 All-Star game is composed of D1, DII, NAIA players and Heston is the only DIII play on the roster.

Aaron has been doing a great job tweeting about his week.  You can follow him here: http://twitter.com/#!/aheston

Congrats to Aaron...he's one big dude. Hope he does well!

The game will be on the 10th at 1:30 p.m.  Late enough to allow you to take a pregame snooze so that you can stay awake at least through the National Anthem and beyond.  And it is scheduled to be webcast, so you have the option of watching it in the comfort of your favorite easy chair with appropriate libations readily at hand.   8-)

Maybe if Willamette plays a good game I won't fall asleep again.  ;D

It was definately halftime my friend...
I'd predict that if you wanted to sleep...home would have been easier.
As I recall...it wasn't a bad game to watch.  SOU had a beast of guy...#11 if memory serves on the D.  He was playing with a big heart that day.  It just wasn't quite enough to get the job done.

Ya,...that dude was quite scary, should have gone to Linfield to be on a winning team. Would have made a good noseguard.   ;D

That guy was actually a star at WOU until he flunked out at Western and he wound up joining SOU after the season already started.  (Bless the NAIA).

From the LC website:  At "the Ad Rutschman Small College Athlete of the Year Award as part of the annual Oregon Sports Awards held Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Stanford Theatre on the campus of Nike World Headquarters. . . . (Linfield) Baseball standout Kelson  Brown and football All-American Eric  Hedin were male finalists for the Rutschman Award, which went to Southern Oregon University wrestler Mitchell Lofstedt."

At least the Raiders have great wrestlers.   ;)

D O.C.

The guy had to have gone undefeated on his way to a national championship for his weight class...maybe two weight classes, right?

WU has a trifecta of tests(at home), followed by an open Saturday to prepare for thier fourth home game in a row against the conference rival Cats.

I highly doubt Willamette will be keeping that open date in its current spot.  Let's just say that the schedule is in flux.
