To k4's credit I would have asked to see the second half....

Did not see that many pictures of "The Cast".  I am satisfied with the 3 angles of the Fisher hit and ensuing flag.

A Linfielder in my defense?? I am obviously not doing my job...  :D

ADvantage 'Catdome: From Football to Softball, Coach Jackson Vaughan just keeps winning.

Looks like coach Vaughan is taking a page from Charlie Sheen ... Bi-Winning

Well done 11.  Vaughan has incredible attention to detail and spends countless hours in preparation for each team.  One of the best out there, just so thankful we've been able to keep him in Linfield all these years.

Menlo picks up D1 QB transfer from WKU (spent one year there after 2 years in Cali JC system).

How long are we still playing these guys?

Here is a link to an article in our local paper of a former Cat taking over as head coach at one of our High Schools.

"I didn't feel I was getting enough opportunity to show my talent as a football player," said Pelesasa.  "There are a lot of politics involved in football."

The above quote from the article would lessen my concern about facing this guy.  It sounds like he may be one of those dissatisfied jocks who thinks he is better than everybody.  Yet regardless how good he is the coach won't play him because the mayor's kid or a big donor's nephew plays the same position.  I've known plenty of coaches over the years and they are all faced with this type of whining every once in awhile.  Truth is most coaches are not going to risk wins to play a less talented player.  Show me a coach who caves in to political pressure and I'll show you a coach with a losing record.

I think Linfield plays Menlo this season and next, with George Fox possibly replacing the Oaks on the 2013 schedule.

Wildcat11,
How long before we get the line up of possible recruits for next year?  Do we get two waves this year or maybe even three?  Any hot DI transfers coming down the line?

There is only one.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Willamette has released their tentative 2011 schedule, with seven :o home games, including five straight to start the season.  I say "tentative" because I still think the Menlo game is going to be removed and replaced with a bye week, and I think they bye week is going to become a game.  We'll see.

All in all, four NWC schools have released their 2011 schedules so far:

Linfield
Willamette
Whitworth

Is it football season yet?

BP,

Willamette gets HSU, Lin, PLU and Whit at home?! Better take advantage of that...

Wow...lots of chances for someone to load up on electronics from the visitors locker room!

Cris,

The ADvantage will be working the recruiting circles again when the program is ready to release names.  If things fall right the program will land a solid group Linfield guys to add to the mix.   :)

Mac,

I don't know if this is our last year with Menlo or not.  My vote would be to dump them now and it's not because I'm worried about the talent they'll bring in as a NAIA program but there is ZERO excitement to play them.  We've seen at Linfield over the years our fan base couldn't care less about playing Menlo and I'm of the hope we can pick up someone new in 2012.

However,  I think the program is back in a position where finding games with the SCIAC will be tough to come across now that our 2 years are up with CLU & La Verne and we have to find games to replace them.  There could be a situation where we have to continue playing them out of necessity.  Again, nobody has told me that but that's how I read it.

OHhhh-Ahhhhh...  Not withstanding it would never happen...but I'd drive a long way to see Wesley-v-Willamette.  Tell me why that wouldn't be a decent game!

What's the latest on the College of Idaho and the NWC???  Haven't heard a peep for awhile.

I would carpool with MacQuiz to see Wesley-v-Willamette.

But then, maybe they could get Pat to come out if they scheduled Catholic.
