QuoteI'm particularly encouraged by the developments at L&C.

Rather they upset you than us.

Personally done with patting them on the back because if they actually do get a defense and their Qb comes back strong.....

Speaking of strong QBs.  Maybe the Wildcats can interest former Michigan QB Robert "Tate" Forcier to come play for them.  Ex-Michigan QB Forcier wants to be a Warrior He was recruited out of high school by Florida, Penn State, Oregon, Arizona State and Washington State, and was a freshman starter at Michigan before being replaced.  He's now looking at Hawaii, San Jose State and Nevada, but if he goes to one of those schools, he would have to sit out a whole year.   Playing immediately at a strong D3 school might interest him, especially if things don't work out at a D1 school.

What ever happened to his older brother?? He was one of the best high school QB's his year, and fizzled out at Michigan early on as well.

K4 his brother was Chris Forcier and he transferred from UCLA to Furman

I was actually talking about the other brother, Jason. Played against him in passing league in High school and know that he went to Michigan but was playing behind Henne at the time... never heard what happened to him. Kid was pretty unreal...

I think he transferred to Stanford, but not sure if he ever became the No. 1 QB.

Jason transfered to Sanford but I think he was about number three on depth chart.  Pretty sure he graduated from Stanford.

An update (From 2009):

His playing days over, Jason Forcier will stay in Ann Arbor to mentor brother Tate Forcier

In a phone interview Tuesday, the elder Forcier expressed no regret that things didn't work out with his potential transfer to Michigan. At issue, he said, was an NCAA rule that requires transfer graduate students seeking immediate eligibility to enroll in a program unavailable at their former school. Michigan and Stanford offer similar graduate degrees, and Forcier, with time an obstacle, couldn't find a suitable one-year program he could finish while on scholarship.
"I was hoping, I was being optimistic about it," Forcier said. "But things happen for a reason."

I am tempted to say nobody Forciered him to..."

I'll put it here because I can't research where and the heck Wesley (not, not Suan) is found nowadays.
They could not get a full schedule of D3 teams and I wonder how many are out of region.
Why am I concerned with Wesley? They've been a major playoff factor the last 5 years.

To columnist Ferd Lewis:

UH should think twice about using the 'Force'

It seems that the Force is still with us, or at least the Forcier family is.

An excerpt from Lewis' story:

"Tate's father, Mike, a Michigan native, attended junior college and the University of San Diego without winning a starting job. Then, as the owner of a limo service, he put his experience, hopes and resources into grooming his sons [first Jason, then Chris, now "Tate"] for college success."

Seems like Mike is the 'force' behind "Tate" and should be the one a coach should talk to.   ;)

If Hawaii is interested in Tate, and Forcier is committed to the school, it seems like a good match. Forcier played well as a freshman in 2009 at Michigan, but he wasn't as suited as Denard Robinson to run the Rich Rodriquez offense. Forcier can scramble, but he's not a running QB.

Hawaii has had a ton of guys come through with his bodystyle as well (Colt Brenan and Timmy Chang both at one point held all time NCAA passing records). If he can win the spot he should produce huge numbers. Should help that Hawaii's starter from last year is going to be a senior.

I could definitely see him succeeding in that situation. Worse case scenario, he still doesn't get to play but gets a free education in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I can think of a lot more tragic endings.

Bigfan

He winds up at Hawaii and becomes the starter he will be a King to the locals as was Colt Brennan.
