So yes, Kickoff 2011 has been released and is already getting rave reviews:

  • "An amazing amount of super intriguing stories- how will I work the rest of the day!!!!"
  • "I think it's easier to navigate ... there seems to be a bunch more photographs than in the past."
  • "Well done- you should charge more $$$$."
  • "The product keeps getting better every year.  Tons of fantastic content as always."

Kickoff supports the operations of all of our sites. It's the only content we charge for all season. Thousands of fans over the past seven years have recognized this and we hope you will agree:

How did Scotty Westering make it onto the Pirate roster?  :o

Have been hanging around the CatDome for the last week or so and it looks like the Cats will field a team again this year. Reminds me of Fall 1985 when Coach Rutschman (coming off an NAIA Championship season) told a reporter that "Yeah, we should have a pretty good team this year...if we can find somebody to hike the ball." With any luck, this team should have somebody who can hike the ball, run the ball, throw the ball, etc....might even be the same guy. Who knows?

Anyway, it's a great time of year to be a football fan...of any D3 team. No losses yet, nobody officially out of the conference title race yet...hope springing eternal on every campus.

Does it show that I'm really anxious for the season to start?  Go you Wiley Cats!!!!

Old Cat Prof,
Glad to hear that at least we'll be able suit up 11 guys this year.  Maybe by the time Cal Lutheran hits town they will figure out how to throw and catch the ball.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

So Wildcat11....common sense  tells me your wife is not going to let you take Grace in a papoose sling out onto the field to film. Will someone at least document her expression when the 'Cats score on an 85 yard  pass or knock the ball loose and grab it in the end zone? Should be a pretty good roar to stimulate her senses.

Of course that earthquake hit 3 1/2 hours into my surgery. Doctor says it only took a few stitches and glue to slog up the accidental vein cut. Supposed to walk as much as humanely possible now that I'm released here in Maryland. Hurricane due tomorrow.
How am I doin'?

The one word you don't want to hear your surgeon say during an operation: "Oops."  :)

So, it looks like I'm going to make the trek to Chapman next weekend...any Whitworth or Chapman fans want to give me some advice on someplace nice to stay that won't break the bank? (whitworth is already doing that  ;) )  Also, realistically with the traffic, how much time am I looking at to get back to LAX on Sunday morning if I stay close to Chapman?

Thanks!!!

Go Pirates!!

Whitworth-Fan,

Congradulations on your son making the travel squad!

I live in Orange, so please email me with you email address and/or phone number and I will contact you for places to stay and eat that won't break the bank. I tried the email address you showed on your profile, but it came back. Plus, I look forward to meeting you at the game!
