For anybody who needs a small-college football fix with a Northwest flavor, Southern Oregon kicks off their season today at Montana Tech at noon, and the Raiders' website provides a link to watch the game.

Kingsmen4.....go ahead....kid yourself.....Actuallly, this should be a pretty interesting game if the Wildcats can field a team:)  I suspect that the Cats will start slow and finish strong.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

So, it looks like I'm going to make the trek to Chapman next weekend...any Whitworth or Chapman fans want to give me some advice on someplace nice to stay that won't break the bank? (whitworth is already doing that  ;) )  Also, realistically with the traffic, how much time am I looking at to get back to LAX on Sunday morning if I stay close to Chapman?

Thanks!!!

Go Pirates!!

Enjoy your trip and may it be the beginning of a great college career for your son. My hope is you can attend as many games as possible to watch him play.  :D
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Am I the only one who's been watching all the HS football games on ESPN this weekend? Mostly because I need football and it's all I got until next Sat???

6 more days...

Oh, I've been watching as well. It is sad to see how commercialized or professional it makes these high school games seem. Kinda seems like these kids never get to experience the purity of the game at that level.

But yeah, can't wait for it to start...

HS football has started here in Cat territory south. The boys lost a tough one Friday 12- 7. D3 next weekend!

I watched parts of several of the HS games on ESPN. Very good teams and I enjoyed it...gotta get my football fix. I would have checked out the SOU game also if I had known it was on internet earlier. Also caught about an hour of the Linfield scrimmage on Saturday.....! One more scrimmage next Saturday early...then Willamette vs WSP and then Oregon vs LSU at 5pm.....!!! Can't wait!

Speaking of webcasts--does anybody know if Cats Eye View will be back this season?

Anyone know how far in advance teams usually announce the travel squad?  I realize this isn't high school anymore and that family's probably aren't a high priority to the college football teams, but it seems like they'd like to give as much advance notice as possible for parents to make travel plans, etc.

Your son should already know as the school needs to give the airlines a manifest ahead of time.

Gotta say the team I'm rooting for in the NWC is Pacific. I'm drawn to them for some reason, and they're the underdog.

I'm not sure if "Cats Eye View" is the game-day webcast, but if it is...all Cat home games will be webcast as usual.  :)

Before D O.C. jumps all over my fractured syntax, let me clarify. Regardless of what the game-day webcast is called, all Cat home games will be webcat this year.  ;D
