Wildcat'64

The next four teams will all be fired up when taking on the Cats.  It will make their entire season if they can take down the Cats.  I can see the recruiting brochure now.......XXXXX Beat the #5 undefeated team in the nation.....Come and play for a true winner!  We'd better keep our focus on one game at a time and quit worrying about the playoffs or we may never see the 10th game of the season.  There are at least three teams out of the next four that could take down the Cats if they don't play any better than they did on Saturday.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

So a flat Cats team puts up 49 points and gives up two field goals.  I can live with that.  I'd rather the Cats make their mistake against the likes of Pacific than later down the road.  No Whitmans this year and certainly no Miracles In The Mud.

Just because Coach Joe talks about MUC and UWW doesn't mean he is looking ahead.  It merely means he believes this years Cats can play at that level when all is said and done.

So PLU can traditionally dangerous...just win, baby. So we get to play L&C with them at full strength this year = no excuses for them.  I feel Menlo could be a violent game. We are bound to have a stumble game ala Redlands and Kean. TEAM can win out.
A class team practices play off stuff when they can.
GT...Aaron has played - admirably - yet still has trouble. Sparky we don't know. If he only has a bit left he will give all.
I have to look to St. Thomas because we let that get away last year.

I wouldn't call a concussion an excuse

I don't think anybody called the concussion an excuse--I think the implication was that not having the starting QB for the Pios last season gave some people an excuse for the 52-0 beatdown the Wildcats gave them last year.  I for one think that it is actually a decent excuse having watched Mr. Welch play (on video) this year.  Not that the Pios would have won or slowed the CAT offense down but perhaps they could have had some offense of their own.  I think if the Pios had any sort of defense I'd be a bit worried about them this year! :)
Go Cats!

If Sparky does not return this season, and I certainly hope he does, would he be eligible for one more year due to his injury? Just wondering.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Part of my point was that Lewis and Clark did not have a sufficient #2 quarterback for a big boy game - the defense is another matter.
Joe Smith has shown that the 'CATS have depth at quarterback.

Just to clarify my earlier post about the passing game...I believe our qb has been doing a fine job passing the ball....I've just seen several well throw balls missed by receivers that would have either been touchdowns or big gains.....but I see dropped balls in the pros too so I know it happens at all levels.

You watched Monday night football last night, eh Blue?  Dropsies galore!  But that is been my obseration of the Cats---lots of dropped passes with two (at least) in the endzone last week.
Go Cats!
