We'll see Saturday!! As far as I am concerned, you will be hopping the plane right back to Oregon.
Yup--that''s the plan---hop on the plane back to Oregon and wait for McMurray to come to the Catdome!
Go Cats!

509 rat, when you want to have a discussion about the game let me know.  Until then keep amusing yourself with all the assinine comments.  Sometimes I think I am dealing with one of my students who when they don't have a clue they resort to useless drivel in order to sound like they have a clue.  I have no trouble with sarcasm, just with people who use it because they can't add anything of significance to the conversation.  Your postings answer the question about your ignorance.

I always find it funny with the guys that try to sound tough through a computer screen.

And Wesley is built on the same principles.  Coach Drass and Coach Knapp have been the captains of the Wolverines for over 20 years now, so if that doesn't constitute a tradition, what does?  Linfield won it all 7 years ago now and since then has had three 6-3 seasons with a loss in the second round last year.  Let's compare that to what Wesley has done since your trip to the Stagg bowl.  It compares quite a bit more favorably.  So, on Saturday we will get to see our teams settle it on the field.  And it will be good.

Hey ski, & w dad,

this is a bunch of crap..  period,  your so called "class program" what a joke.. i remember last year when "THEY "  BROKE   into the Dorms while the students were on t-day vacation and the " Class program you talk about  i think ,STILL let them play in the next playoff game..  talk about "Classless"..  bring it on boys .. anytime ,anywhere, anybody..
Wesley dorm raiders... :-[

I note that much fun has been aimed at Wesley's schedule.  We island folk know how hard it is to schedule.  It is harder when you are a good independent.  There are only so many Huntingdons to go around.  I know they have played LaGrange before because I was going to go to that game in GA, but decided against it because of a huge storm.

Linfield has experience in trying to get opponents.  There has been plenty of talk on these boards about how Mike Maynard wouldn't pick up his phone when Linfield called. ;).  This is Wesley's chance to shine on the big stage.

I'm hoping for a Linfield win so I can finally get to meet some of you in Belton.  I doubt McMurry will host the next round if they win.

Does Morris Correctional Institute field a football team? I'm sure if Wesley needs another game they would be glad host you. What division is Delaware State? I'm pretty sure Paul Mitchell the School Delaware doesn't play football - but it would be fun if they did.  8-)

Ok, since wesleydad likes to paint all things Wesley in a rosy light...

Linfield and Wesley are nearly identical in every statistical category imaginable. Except one. Penalties. While wesleydad would like you to believe sloppy play has only plagued the mighty Wolverines once-twice this year, they have 108 penalties for a whopping 1031 yards. That's not a few occasions of sloppy play. That is an epidemic. That's the kind of thing that wins/loses playoff games.

If Inns can minimize the mistakes this week (nothing killer against CLU but the throws were erratic at times), Cats should be fine.

Teamski

Well, you guys rather just throw insults than talk about the game.  You continue to smear Wesley in some sort of childish game of schoolyard trash talk.  This week ended quickly for this poster.  We'll let the game speak for itself.  Pretty pathetic.

Food for thought:
I did a little stats last night on home playoff games among the big teams in D3 football.   I was a little  surprised at how fairly Linfield has been treated.    In the last 10 years, not counting this year, we Wildcat fans can't complain much about this:

Mary Hardin-Baylor    46% playoff games at home: 11 home games, 13 away games.
St. John's:               55% playoff games at home: 11 home games, 9 away games.
Wesley:                   71% playoff games at home: 15 home games, 6 away games.
UW- Whitewater       79% playoff games at home: 19 home games, 5 away games.
Linfield                    82% playoff games at home: 14 home games, 3 away games.

Then there is....
Mount Union           100% playoff games at home: 37 home games, 0 away games.

That last one is astonishing.  This is not an East Coast bias; it is a Mount Union bias.   Why?

I might have made an error on one or more of the above.    I did not have time to check it a second time.
Of course, I would love Linfield to have all home games.    But, I believe that every playoff team should have at least one road game before the Stagg Bowl.

George.

Because they keep winning. And keep winning. And also, they keep winning. There are no 6-3 teams in the past 13 years for Mount Union, no second-round exits. That's the reward.

For what it's worth, there have been two years in which Mount Union has not been a top seed, but the teams that were seeded higher did not advance far enough in the bracket to host the Purple Raiders?

Should they play a road game in the playoffs every once in a while? I can't argue that. But someone else has to earn that home game. They don't just get handed out like some participation trophy.

Hey Dens,
What the hell !! Who wrote that article?  10-0 and First time NWC champion.  That idiot writer should link over to
www.catdomealumni.com and get all of the Linfield history, then write the story over.

That's a good point.....but has anybody figured out why Wesley got handed a home game over Linfield? And don't say SOS....because the teams they play are different than the ones we play and they don't add in Menlo.

Pat Coleman

SOS is nonetheless the reason. Wesley's SOS doesn't include the full-scholarship FCS team it beat either.

We warned you guys.
