Mounts been so good for so long that absolutely they should keep hosting playoff games until they stumble

I disagree with that.....there's no reason why they can't play on the road in the playoffs just like everyone else, at least for 1 game to another excellent team who hasn't lost during the year. That's how it's done in every other sport that has a playoff system. They don't constantly favor one or 2 teams every year. That's pathetic and it gives less credibility to the system.

with all due respect Bluenote I disagree with what your saying. No other football school has had the amount of success that mount consistantly has. Why punish a team because they've won 10 national championships in 18 years??? they've already proven that they can win on the road. You can't name other examples because no one has had the amount of success mount has achieved.

Let's see....how about an early season showcase game with Mount Union and oh, say WESLEY, at a neutral site in Pennsylvania.
Bluenote....I don't know if I really want a video feed to watch us get embarrassed like all the other teams that have gone in to Dover with their fans saying "yeah, but you you haven't played anybody like us yet."

Or how about an early season game with Mount Union and Linfield at a neutral size in nebraska!!! :) I would definently go to watch that game!

Mt. Union gets put in a cream puff bracket every year. Put them in the West and lets see how they do.

I didn't like that mount was moved east for several years because there's a lot of good teams in the east but not any great teams to really challenge mount. With that said, if you really believe that mount has a cakewalk to the semis this year thats crazy because the winner of the wabash/north central game will give mount it's toughest quarterfinal game any east region team ever did.

Yes, and Redlands gave NCC their only loss and just ran into a buzzsaw at UHMB. Try again please...

so are you saying that redlands is better than NCC??? If you listen to pat or keith they'll tell you that NCC is one of the few teams that could prevent a UWW UMU stagg bowl. If you want to disagree with the d3 crew who know more about d3 football than you or I do than be my guest.

Umm...did you read my last post or do they not teach reading comprehension on the East Coast?

No constant favors for any team in the playoffs...it should be fair and balanced each year, based on that year only. Each bracket should have an equal number of tough/top teams, it's not rocket science. Look how they are flying teams all over the place in our bracket this year. If you want to worship at MUC's feet for something they've done in years past, that's fine.....I'll root for fairness and what's makes for a fair playoff system, year in and year out.

thats fine :) you have your opinion and I have mine.

I Guess that means that linfield's 57 consecutive winning seasons means nothing ;)

wrdad...please take no offense at what I post.

Gig Harbor Cat...Looks like your pilot (is he back from Maui with that Stew he met?) needs to check out if New Castle, Delaware, can handle the G5.
I cannot get in touch with TJ about his pilot because of all those fires in Reno, ya' know.

They were better on Sept. 3. I don't think any of our voters believe they are better today. Most of them haven't at any point since halftime on Oct. 1. Teams change over the course of a season, you know that.

Perhaps to the ncaa Linfield's record doesn't matter. Why else would they fly an undefeated number 5 team across the country to play against a one loss number seven team. That being said, if the cleat was on the other foot I would be overjoyed to see the Wildcats play at home all the time during the playoffs. Play wherever against whomever. GO CATS!

Pat,

1-0 against NCC is all I know. And if the Redlands WR crew shredded their vaunted secondary, what do you think Eric Rogers and the speed of Cal Lu would do to them?

My point is that the West is stacked year after year and they kill each other while the other brackets get easier roads to Salem.

The only time I can remember a road game for Mount was in 1992 when they lost to eventual National Champion Wisconsin-LaCrosse. They might have a few more of those losses if they actually had to experience what travel feels like.

Yeah. But each of those teams played a bunch of other games, which also count.
