Pat,

I tried to leave a comment on the front page story on tomorrow's game predictions.    But, it says "Leave a Reply
You must be logged in to post a comment."    I am logged in, but it still says the same thing and I can't leave a comment.   What I am doing wrong?

By the way, you run a great website and blog.   IF there were Oscar-type awards for websites and blogs, you would earn one!

Just out of curosity how much would it change your predictions if the UMHB/Wesley game was in Dover instead of Belton? You guys clearly think it will be a tight game but just wondering what you make of home field advantage."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Home field advantage is HUGE.  Wesley would not have scored 42 points on Linfield in one half if Linfield had hosted.  The home crowd would have spurred the Wildcats on to a win.

Two years ago, UMHB came to Linfield and the Wildcats scored 53 points, 37 in a row on the Crusaders.  Would that have happened in Texas?   No.

Mount Union has not had a road playoff game forever.  If they had just one a year, their Stagg Bowl appearances would probably have a few less.

As I said on the blog, I think it depends on the game and teams in question. I think that with Wesley and UMHB, the teams have played each other so often and travel halfway across the country on a regular basis, lowering the HFA a little.

Well--for the first half Wesley is doing what I expected---stopping MHB's running game and moving the ball well through the air.  I expect this to continue.  (and i think our Cats would have done the same against MHB) :)

I agree George. Home field is an important component for teams. Just ask Rowan. They came to the Catdome and were soundly defeated. However, the cats lose by 3 to uww. That said, playing at home gives a team a distinct ADvantage.  ;)

The wolverines turn it over on downs, but the cru did the same with their possession. Wesley wins it 27-24 over UMHB. Wesley plays Union next.

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!
