A little notoriety for Coach Speckman!

"49ers use plays from offense rarely seen in pros"

The fly sweep was also mentioned during last Sunday's 49ers/Cardinals game. I too immediately thought of Willamette.   8-)

Well the year finally comes to a close for D3 football. Good game yesterday. Just goes to show no matter what level of football if you make mistakes and turn the ball over you usually are going to lose. Looking forward to the start of next season. GO CATS!

How are the players selected for Division III college all star Team Stars & Stripes? I noticed only one player (Willamette) from the NWC. Just wondering. ???

Like most folks in Laramie, I'm watching the New Mexico Bowl with Temple and Wyoming. Wyo QB Bret Smith was the MWC freshman of the year and is from Salem. If he can throw for 2500 yards and be the 2nd leading rusher on his team, I'm wondering how great 'Cat QB's from the past would have done in a 2nd tier D1 league. Watching the Cowboys this year, I know that Smith will continue to do well. But I'd rather have T. Matthews or A. Boehme in this game. Why didn't they get a good look at a D1 scholarship at a place like Wyoming??? Or did they and then chose Linfield???

... and while we're at it, why aren't Mark Speckman or Jay Locey getting a look at the Hawaii job???

I watched the game also. I was hoping the Cowboys would have done better. Can't help you about Matthews or Boehme.
