It took the girls to get him back up and running.

Again, congrats to the Lutinas.

WoW! You really stepped it up with that production Wildcat11. Awesome vid and the music was even a step higher than normal which is quite a feat! Loved the pancake block on the first play!

Thanks Blue!  Can't take credit on the opening cut on the L&C vid...it was an awesome suggestion by one of the players.  We have a video that is just about wrapped that Wildcat fans are going to LOVE to see.  Hope we'll have it out by the next week or so.

WU will have no problem flying to...oh, say Wesley. They are willing to fly anywhere.

Wesley is on Menlo's schedule in the fall.

Considering we've flown to Wisconsin and Texas before (on back-to-back weeks, no less), yeah, I'd say we're willing to fly anywhere.  I'm looking forward to seeing who we pick up for game #10.

Surprised by the cancellation, though.  I've been starting a new job this week, so unfortunately I don't have any insight beyond the press release.  My guess, however, would be that Speckman and Fowles realized this was just something that would be really, really uncomfortable for all the coaches and most of the players.

Maybe Case can provide the Bearcats with a financial incentive to "fly" to Cleveland.  With an endowment 80% of the way to $2 billion, the Spartans should be anything but spartan financially in scheduling more NWC teams, including a competitive team like Willamette.   ;)

With Willamette, the Oaks would have had an 11-game schedule.  Is that OK in the NAIA, especially with one Canadian team scheduled?

Menlo 2012 Football Schedule

True to form, Coach Speckman has a maximum number of games with some interesting and competitive matchups.

NAIA does allow an 11 game schedule. I was told (by someone in the know) that was one of several reasons Menlo went NAIA.

Last night the school where I teach held their graduation ceremony. One of the grads (Conner Purnell) is on his way to Linfield to play football. In line waiting to process into the stadium he looked at me and said,"100 days until kickoff!!".  After the ceremony his father said he is going to get up to as many games as possible. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season.

Conner is a player for sure.  Looking forward to seeing him being part of the tradition.
