Couldn't expect any higher than number 5. What a weight to carry!

Check out PLU's first three games: #12 Cal Lutheran, @ #18 Redlands, then #5 Linfield
Three victories should get them some recognition. ;D

Great scheduling for PLU...tons of respect for those that have tough schedules.

The game at Redlands is preceeded by the 12:30pm Linfield @ Cal Lu.  Game should be done by 4:30 in time for 2hr drive to Redlands for 7:00pm PLU @ Redlands kickoff...Doc ?

Welcome back from the doldrums d-train. Can I get a LINFIELD jersey for you?

CamCat

The Preseason top 25 is out at d3football.com.  It's nice to see the mighty Wildcats rated #5.  Let's hope we can move up 4 notches through the year.

The Linfield Wildcat helmet I ordered made it over the mountains and was delivered safe and sound in Iowa yesterday.  Thanks to wildcat11 and all those involved with getting this to me.  The one I received was better than advertised.

Best of luck to the 'Cats and the rest of the NWC this season.

Whitworth has its football preview out --August 2, 2012  Whitworth Looks to Continue Climb in 2012

The 'Rats play an interesting non-conference schedule:
"The Pirates face an unbalanced schedule in 2012 with six road games and only four games at the Pine Bowl.
Two of the four non-conference games are against first time opponents.  The Bucs will open the season (September 1st) in Duluth, Minnesota against College of St. Scholastica, the defending champion of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and a 2011 NCAA playoff participant.  Whitworth follows with a game at Whittier College in Whittier, California.  Then a game at University of La Verne and the home opener against Chapman University round out the non-conference schedule."

Withworth is going to be suspect up front but they're going to be a tough out for the entire NWC.  Good skill players and good speed.

Old Cat Prof,
I must be getting old.  I clearly remember the streakers in the quad.  After they migrated to the Catdome to run the circuit, I thought for sure I saw you out there blowing a whistle :)

BTW, I am now living in St. Louis and hope to get to the Washington U and UWW game on September 9th.  I haven't seen Wash U's stadium, but there campus is first class.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Why is it that it's always the other team that gets the "miracle" against the Cats....like "the miracle in the mud" and last years "miracle comeback" for the Wesleyites?

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT TAKES TO BEAT THE CATS....PERIOD

I was going to +k you Bluenote, but then I noticed how nice 1111 looked on your profile. Let's keep him there folks.
Since I'm driving up for the HSU game, I will let you get me that Deluxe combo, then on to the Elks Lodge.
